Are we ever going to get fair officiating in any sport? Ever?
If I say anything about it it’s whining, but it’s horseshit. Rules are rules. The FIU defender swatted the ball with his right hand in the box. That should have been a PK. So tired of it.
That kind of thing happened to Germany against Spain in the last UEFA. It happens. I think they did VAR on it but called it a normal hand position. They’re the top of the soccer officiating so these guys were probably just falling in line.
Though I didn’t watch this game so I couldn’t tell you what this hand ball looked like
It wasn’t a normal hand position. The ref thought it went off his left arm but it was his right hand that he drug back across his body and swatted the ball… Textbook handball.
Speaking of VAR, would have been nice. But we can’t have nice things. We are Niner fans.

It was almost that bad - it didn’t bounce off the hand as strongly but the FIU player moved his hand into the ball, so in that sense it was more egregious.

That one in the UEFA didn’t get called even after VAR. I disagree entirely with the call though. And if that’s the case for this game, then I feel the same way. That’s a tough call either way though and it sucks to hear. I was looking forward to the championship game on Saturday.
Maybe one of the other sports shock us and win the conference tourney.
Maybe the NCAA selectors take our resume into account and we squeak in. We will see.
