3-0 at the half.
Shots at half 11-1. On goal 7-0.
How bad is UNCW that they didn’t score against Coastal?

Looks like that will be the game winner.
…and pretty much the only highlight of the match. Not something I would have stuck with had the Niners not been involved. The best thing other than our goal was that there was no weather delay involved today.

It was a yawner of a game
UNC-G nearly won this one with a steal off our keeper in their scoring half of the field. Keeper lost the ball and then retreated back to make a one-on-one save on a less than stellar scoring attempt.
Their keeper made some saves, but none on shots that looked particularly dangerous.
As my son pointed out to me, too many offsides (9) by the Niners. Outshot UNCG 14-7 but couldn’t find the net.
Probably our worst performance of the season. Greensboro camped in their own half a lot of the game and were hard to break down. But a draw against a team that was much better than us last year isn’t the end of the world.

Hokies with a 13-2 shot advantage. Our goal was only the second given up this season by them.
That’s a nice picture of our keeper. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure NC state scored their winning goal off this play on the rebound. The picture does show that Wakeman, while not tall, has a pretty impressive vertical leap.
Weather forecast looking “iffy” “Lightning in the area…Fans please vacate the stands”
Gators should feel right at home
BTW, how do they play soccer with those stubby little legs and how do they refrain from eating the ball?
Three “power five” opponents, none of which embarrassed us. I believe we will finish way higher in the American than we’ve been picked to finish. BTW, how in the world did our coach get those three teams to come play in Charlotte.
Niners defeat Richmond Spiders 3-2. Finally, a 49ers squad wins this weekend.
Excepting the SF beatdown of Pittsburgh, of course.
Extremely questionable PK call against the Niners in first half. Players falling like bowling pins in the box on a free kick for Richmond. Looked like a Spider pushed a Niner into another Spider, who flopped getting the call from an out of position ref.
