Words of wisdom: The words “asshole” and “input” may not be wise together in the same post.

Just saying.

The link through Charlotte49ers.com is working for me. http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/charlotte.portal#

Give that a try HP.

that works.

GREAT!! show!!!
obviously trying to light a fire under phil.
this-and-that. but mainly…what a classy guy!

Caught some of the show… I’m glad the host brought up the big men (Braswell especially) and if Coach is trying to get them more aggressive around the hoop to draw more fouls. Braswell is too good of a free throw shooter not to take advantage. I would love to see our two bigs dunk more.

Derrio seems real confident that we are going to have a good season. Don’t remember verbatim but Derrio basically said that Major has been serious and intense from the get go, which is great…

Major sounded fantastic tonight. His vision of what the program should be - his philosophy and work ethic, sense of family, etc…

He hasn’t done it yet on the court, but the guy sure sounds the part.

Hearing him put into perspective how this quick turnaround will get us ready for next weekend in Charleston makes so much sense… The 4pm start time is still gonna mean a mostly empty gym, but then again, that’s what a least part of charleston is gonna be (day games especially).

One thing that struck me when him and Matt were talking - not sure what they said, but the flipside of us not being on TV that much (which sucks, I’m not trying to make lemonade from lemons), is that these teams arent going to have easy access to game film of how we play. Not saying they cant get it, but it’ll make it a tad harder to scout us. As the Queens coach said, we’re not playing defense the same way this year.

Great show last night. I was hoping to hear something mentioned about suspensions but I can also understand why that subject was avoided.

Im disappointed about last night for one reason. I came out there expecting to hear a great show. HOWEVER, sitting next to the biggest table(15top) full of the student counsel(I know this by overhearing some of their rhetoric during their conversations) I figured that once Major took the air that they would quiet down… BUT THEY DIDNT! I thought it was ridiculous that the people representing the students found no interest in listenin nor did they have the courtesy to quiet so their peers can listen in. I was there an hour before anticipating and didnt get to listen to 1 minute! This was ridiculous and I hope that one of the student counsel members is on here! If you want to meet then please have the courtesy of doing it in private not during a public event. Lew I saw yall over there was wonderin if you noticed that… The table the table by the Silver Strike (4 tables connected)…

I wish they had more space, or at least turned the volume up so that the whole restaurant could hear it.

We got there at about 7:30, and had to sit on the other side. We could see the show fine, but the volume was too low to hear anything.

Half the noise was the student counsel

100% agree. I like how Major turns a potential negative, back to back games this weekend, into a positive “It will prepare us for next weekend.” We’ll see how the team performs but Major is saying the right things at this point. GO NINERS!

I agree. Great show. I listened to the last week’s online and last night’s on the radio. Last night’s show was very good and is worth a listen. Especially the second 30 minutes. Derrio and then the questions and Major’s comments about the bigs and the work they’ve put in.

Derrio was very funny talking about the other guys on the team. Said Sirin and Lewis are the best 3-pt shooters, he can’t touch them. He threw in Phil when asked who else. He said that he knows Sirin shots are going in and when he made that pass to Sirin for the three in the exhibition and threw up his arms, he was trying to beat the referee’s signal…(laughing).

Mentioned different attitude several times. Was very positive about new coaching regime, team, season. He did a very nice job!

That table was noisy last week as well.

The real problem is that the speakers mounted on the post in the center of the dining area are pointed toward the RIGHT side and the bar. If you were sitting in the booths along the left side, you could barely make out what either Matt or Coach was saying because of their deep voices and the background noise. It was not a good experience for my family.

The management should fix this… In the future, if no tables are open on the RIGHT side, I’m not wasting my family’s time. I’ll take my $50 down to Giaccomos.
