Has anyone gone to one of the shows this season? Lately? I never hear any buzz about them.
I used to go to quite a few Lutz Live shows but have never been to see Coach Majorâs show. It isnât that I donât support him as muchâprobably the opposite right nowâbut I have just never made it out. Does the lack of conversation here reflect how people feel about the show? Just wondering.
I went to a few Majorâs first season. He had no personality and didnât seem to interested in being there at all. I had heard from the Signature folks that they basically had to make him come. I am assuming he has gotten better - he sounds better on radio now than he did then. Compared to Bobby though who walked around the audience and talked to folks and recognized faces, the show just wasnât any fun to go to so that combined with a baby pretty much halted me going.

I made it out to a few in Majorâs 1st year, but havenât recently. Life has gotten in the way recently and I just donât have time to get over there on a Monday night.

It was fun. Bobby came over and talked to us. There was a guy from Chicago that had just moved into the apartments beside Wild Wing that was just there for dinner and thought it was cool that Lutz Live was going on while he was there. He was talking to Bobby and didnât even know Bobby was the coach when the conversation started. When he found out he was super excited and thought Bobby was a great guy for being so personable with the fans.
Having been to Lutz Live and the Alan Major Show, Lutz was better at working the room. Unless you really want some wings on Mondays its just not worth it to go, since you can listen to it live or watch the replay. Theyâd be better off doing it in the studio on campus. Major answers the questions well, but thatâs all heâs there for.
I suspect that âLambert Liveâ will be a more entertaining thing in person.
To Nugget:
Read NWAâs response and Niner Nationalâs response and you will have your answer. It was not much fun for me, but Wild Wing Cafe does a great job with great people.

If the coach has an attitude it is just something they have to do then they should do it in a studio. If the coach likes interacting with the fanbase then its far better in a public arena. Not to mention it can be really cool meeting some of the players - talking to Derrio, Anjuan, Dewy etc was a lot of fun.
major is a HUGE introvert. heâd rather be cleaning out his sock drawer (or better yetâŚcoming up with a new defense) that sitting up there in front of all those people. heâs come a looong way since his first anxiety ridden moments with us. my hat is off to him for the progress heâs made. i know what heâs gone/going through.
When there is not a single post on this board about The Alan Major show, you know something
is wrong. As many of you have posted, I also went to a few Lutz shows and a couple of early
Major shows. No excitement with Majorâs show and it just seems like a waste of time to even
go out there. He should start givinga little inside info or (unreported news) at his show to make
it worthwile.

As an Asst Coach I guess you do not get a lot of opportunity to develop those skills, and we all know the past two years there just wasnât much to talk about, but it is time to step up. If we can talk endlessly about nothing on this message board he should be able to fill 30 minutes each week and then have a guest.

I was at nearly all of them this season. Nobody else hardly comes to these. Monday night was my last.
Lutz Live a lot of times was just Scotty and me. But other times a few others showed up. We havenât had enough success under Major yet to get people interested in the show.

They should do a show four times maybe three at the very least per week in the studio. They need to work that UNC Charlotte Broadcast Communications Dept. And maybe even open the studio prop room and control room to all the fans who want to hang out and have a few beers on the BC Dept. Iâm willing to bet The 49ers Insider would love this idea. Itâs too bad that I am just now thinking of it. Heâs always been so open to my ideas.
