All I want for Christmas...

…is some free throw shooting and solid perimiter defense. C’mon Santa, that isn’t too much to ask for is it?

I’ll just settle for running the table in the rest of our OOC games because next month, we’ll have 3 very tough road games at UAB, Cincy and Marquette. Something tells me we’ll lose at least one of those and it would be nice to only have 3 losses should we drop one.

Good point about those road games, but wining 1 of the 3 is ok, wining 2 of 3 is really good.

I'll agree with that. It will be a Merry Christmas if we get to 9-2.

All I want for Christmas is for this guy to be tar and feathered at the Belk Tower…

I want the Goldduster thread to live on forever…

75% free throw shooting would be nice as well…

On Lutz Live, Coach also said 75% is the team goal. That's great. I'd be happy with 70% because that's the level needed for FTs to have a positive influence on a game's outcome. He also said our opponents so far this year are shooting 80% FTs(OUCH!!) and hoped the "law of averages" would kick in and ours would go up and theirs will go down. Hope.....

Five years has been too long. We need to bring Gary back.

Tar and feathered? Our current guys weren’t around in 99. We need to bring Boren back. Can someone check the final FT % of the 99-00 team?

1999-2000 Free Throw Stats… the 49ers were 386 of 547 (.706) and the opponents were 496 of 719 (.690).

Notice the disparity in the field goal numbers, a 17-16 record but made 56 more field goals (77 more 3-pt field goals).

HP, you got FT% for the past 7 years? Is there a link to past stats or are you looking them up in the media guide?

Lefty, the numbers are coming from past media guides. I wish there were archived stats on the web site. I’ve got the numbers for the past 5 seasons at least for you, our opponents this season so far are just good shooting FT teams.

I’ll take Larisa Oleynik. If I can’t have her, I guess a NC would do.
