Alumni Assoc. / Harris Connect

I received an email on Monday from Harris Connect regarding an alumni list for UNC Charlotte.

I was skeptical at first, thinking it might be some information scam, but I checked the UNC Charlotte Alumni site and found this press release.

I’m glad to see the Alumni Office is doing something, but is this enough?

UPDATE:

I updated my information through the site.

It has space for name, address, current job, spouse & kids.

Then it allows you to post 2 photos of yourself and to write max 300 words about your current situation, what you have done since graduating, etc.

They will be making an alumni book of some sorts, that you would either have to buy or get for free, nothing was noted.

I’m graduating this May. Think I should fill that out or wait? I’d like to be listed and wouldn’t want to miss out.

I would contact this email address to find out.

I was sent an email to sign up as I would think all the other current alums were.

Do you have the Harris site link?

Under my comments I put that I was a member of CFI that brought college football to Charlotte.

Fill it out and update the information. An online community page (similar to Facebook and including a message board and photo storage) is currently in test mode. I played with it for about 45 minutes yesterday. It should be a good complimentary tool to NN.N and vice versa.
