We can’t pay our women’s coaches (or mens for that matter) anywhere near what ACC/SEC/Big XII schools can. If our mens basketball team went on a tear through the tournament and we built up millions in credits, we could throw a hefty contract at the coach in an effort to keep him like VCU and Wichita State did after their Final Four appearances. That will not be the case for a women’s basketball coach though, especially with Judy gone. I definitely could have seen her taking money from a successful men’s tournament run to up the salary for a women’s coach in the sake of “fairness”.
