All of our pitchers were pitching from behind all night and our hitting was atrocious. It literally looked like we had not played a game all year.
Wanted to go but could not get off work in time. Glad I didnāt show up. Looks like the team didnāt either.
Why canāt our baseball team put it together? I know it is just one loss but good grief.

This is what hurt the worst: Wake has had a horrible year. As I was walking out in the bottom of the 8th, I overheard a Wake fan say something like āCharlotte must be really awful if we can beat them by that muchā.
Half of me wanted to explain that we were better and half of me wanted to get out of Dodge. The half wanting to get out of Dodge won out.
Are we better? We havenāt really proven that. We beat a good Clemson team in a high scoring game. The other decent team (Western) we have played so far swept us.
Other than that we havenāt really played anybody thatās any good. I think we have the speed on the bases to play with anyone if we can get Wilson, Tilton, and Brown on base. Those guys can manufacture some runs. But our pitching has got to step up against quality opponents.
