I edit a TV show called Lake Norman TV. As you might guess, it’s all about Lake Norman.
I’m looking for good music to use in some of the segments of the show. A lot of times I will do a “music video” segment with lake footage, bar footage, etc. being shown over a musical number.
If you have some QUALITY (not recorded in a garage) music–any genre, but especially looking for fast-paced rock-- send me a PM.
Music must be radio-friendly. No extraneous cursing.
Music must be professionally produced-- no crappy live performances or battle of the bands audition tapes recorded on a cassette recorder.
You must own the copyright to the music, or be able to get written permission from the copyright holder to air the music on cable tv.
If the lyrics pertain to drinking/partying/boating/Lake Norman/Charlotte–all the better.
There is no payment, but the band will be credited on the show which airs once a week on Time Warner cable.

I think you should talk to dustin (49erdrummer). His band is pretty good heard them at the bobcats game once this season. He’ll probably be able to help you out.
my roommate is a producer, he does rap/trance/movie themes, pretty much everything…he’s very good…his music was played at the wooden awards this year and he’s about to sign (hopefully) with atlantic records.
some good friends of mine are in a local band thats amazing and has built a strong fan base in the area - dont know how fast paced your looking for, they’r a little more of an indy type, but i’m sure if you wanted to use anything they had they would be more than willing to allow you to. also just finished cutting their first album and they dont ‘half-do’ anything so they’v got good sound quality

Wow, I totally did not see you. Weird. I must not have been shooting much footage inside that night.
I’d be cool with it…as would the boys…only thing is, @ the Rudder we play only cover songs (bar crowd…you know how it goes)…the originals are just now coming along, as we switched singers a few months ago and have just gotten the writing process up and going again.
Either way, we’d be glad to get up with you and help you out/help us out/whatever…
