âAre there any shaded areas to sit?â
Worried about the heat grandpa? Oh yeah thats right you must keep your Viagra tablets in a certain tempature range since you are afraid your wife might find them if you leave them at home. My bad.

Atleast I did make it out to the game. I sat in the Sun and I have the red neck to prove it. The Viagra is still safe though.
I went and i too have the burnt skin to show for it. I sat in front of Mrs. Rose.
Good to see we rebounded to take the win Sunday.
I took my 8 year old son to his first 49er baseball game on Saturday and we both had unique perspectives on the game.
We took away that it is very rare to watch a game where the umpire was very inconsistent on balls/strikes/rules of the game and even his positioning out on the field. Everytime there would have been a play at home the ump was up the 3rd base line.
Spencer was forced to throw basically batting practice to the Dayton hitters since he could not get a call on the corners when their pitcher would get strikes on the same exact pitch locations.
Hard to win when you only get 1 run (everyone has a bad dayâŚ)
Thought the refs in A-10 basketball were bad but compared to the 3 stooges they had this weekend the basketball refs look like damn geniuses.
The last thing my son took away is the ability to say âUH-HUH!â

Thatâs actually the correct positioning. If thereâs no chance of there being a play at first (i.e. a ball in the gap), the 3B ump rotates to second, the HP ump rotates to 3rd, and the 1B ump rotates to the plate. They did that several times on Saturday.
His strike zone was all over the place, though. He did NOT have a good day.
Forgot to mention in my original post that my son did witness history by seeing 2 of our coaches tossed in the same game. I figured Hibbs would get tossed and wanted to but when Hall was tossed it was obvious that the idiot behind the plate in his youthful exuberance did not know rules of the game.
The play at the plate early in the game was a good indicator of how things would go for us. Maybe Iâm just a homer but I thought he slid under the tag and was safe even though it was one of those close bang-bang plays that could have been called either way.
I stand corrected on the umpire positioning - UH-HUH!
Judy wasnât pleased when a Dayton fan yelled out at yesterdayâs game that âTHE HOME TEAM HIRES THE UMPIRES!ââŚ

Uh, not in conference series, dickwad. I hate uninformed fans.

Thatâs what I thought! Judy just said that she hates it when it comes down to opposing fans using that.

I hope someone took a pictures of her at the game. It must have been her yearly appearance.

I felt Hall probably knew he was also working on an ejection when he waited for the ump at the plate and then loudly simulated the Dayton batterâs actions. I was glad to see it.
REMINDER: WAKE GAME AT 6:00 ON TUESDAY. WAKE IS A PROJECTED NCAA TOURNEY TEAM⌠SO THIS IS A BIG GAME.

no lie
she wouldnât know John Maine if he walked up and bit her in the nose, and probably same with Mills.

You got that right. Last year she came to one game! One freakin game!
She hasnât given a crap about baseball ever. One of the reasons why we are just now getting our stadium instead of 10 years ago when we should have gotten it.

Out of curiosity, how much does she care about womenâs softball? I know she came from the world of womenâs basketball and will care more about the basketball teams, but it seems to me the AD at any school should at least show up for a few baseball and menâs soccer games, since these are probably the 2 most visible sports behind football and basketball. (please note, thatâs only my PERSONAL OPINION)

Maybe she is like most people that would prefer to watch paint dry than watch soccer.
