Looks like Major is trying to bring all the old alums into the fold as much as he can. This would be a really cool event to be at.

clt asks about kenny whitehead status? will he be there? will he sign autographs?
I love the fact that he is trying to connect with former players and how big he seems to be on the whole 49er family deal. This guy has impressed me off the court, now I can’t wait to see how he coaches on the court in a game.
Looks like a great event to me. Glad to see some of those names on the list. And as expected, “the player that put us on the map” (sarcasm) does not have his name on the list.
Also, it goes without saying, this story deserves MORE THAN A BLOG. But we can’t have that because it might get the community interested in 49er Athletics. So we keep all our stories for Niners only.

Don’t let Demon in the bathroom or you’ll be out of a hair dryer.
great to see Coach Major reaching out to the past players. Truly seems that he is working on building a “family” feel for our program with the past, present & future players.
Anyone else think this event or a similar event could make some money for the program? Charge fans a certain amount per table to sit and have dinner with basketball alums.
Are Demarco, Henry Williams and Dan Bannister not still in Charlotte?
whoa whoa whoa we don’t need that kind of advanced thinking around our AD
I find it interesting that a certain poster has not yet posted their elated approval of this and commented on how non-rook-like it is.
Is it illegal per NCAA rules for current players to attend? I think it would really drive home the family atmosphere Major is trying to promote if they could sit down and listen to former players reminisce on their playing days.

I’m getting soft.
i was thinking the same thing.

it sure does deserve more than a blog. this would be headlines 5 days in a row if it was happening in chapel hill.
Great article on Kevin King from the 77 team. It is great to see a player feels the total opposite of how Cornbread feels about our program. Let’s take down cornbread’s jersey and put his up in it’s place.
"My blood is green,"“Charlotte will get there again and I’m just glad and fortunate that people still remember that team and remember me and I am truly blessed to be part of a great university.”
