Beasley, Lutz & Hill in SI

This is in the printed SI this week I believeā€¦
"[Lutz] jump-started my career, my life. You never know the right answer when you make a decision like that, but I had to do what was best for me and my family." Lutz says he harbors no hard feelings over losing Hill and Beasley, only that he wishes Hill had told him in person that he was leaving rather than doing so with a voice-mail message.
He left Lutz a voice mail!?!?! As if I needed any other reason to hate Hill!

I cannot believe I am going to say this, but Iā€™m glad Beasley is not here. Every player would have been in his shadow, and he would have attracted all of the attention.

Sure, the media would have loved the school for a year, but this season with the current group of players has been more fun than I ever could have imagined.

Agreed, I mean it does still burn to think what we could do with him this year, butā€¦I love this team too much and really have forgotten about Beasley.

From another SI article. This one deals with the so called ā€œPackage Dealsā€ and recruiting.
ā€œMy first question for Dalonte was, ā€˜What is Kansas State?ā€™ā€ says Beasley. "I couldnā€™t find Kansas on a map.
Kinda tells me all I need to know.

Iā€™ve heard worse. A couple years ago, the University of Oregon had a player who said that when he was being recruited, he didnā€™t even know Oregon was a state!! Are you fā€™ing serious!? Donā€™t we all know the 50 states by the time we are in third grade or so??

Just shows, if you are a high level basketball player, you can have sh*t between your ears, and it doesnā€™t even matterā€¦

A girl I met who went to UNC-Asheville didnā€™t know NC had a coastline. Granted she wasnā€™t from the state, but it was her second year.

Just goes to show there are all types in this world.

Well you canā€™t really fault kids these days. No school teaches geography these days.

A voice mail? Hill didnā€™t even have the cohones to face his boss? He is a ā€œpackageā€ alright. What a pendejo. May be the thought of Hill is one of his coach was the reason for Walker to pee all over himself. :lmao:
Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder has admitted not knowing people speak English in London.

The NFL player might want to check a map before he gets on board a plane for Sundayā€™s prestige game against the New York Giants at Wembley Stadium. Crowder, who comes from Atlanta in Georgia, may be praised on the field, but confessed geography was not his strong point. He admitted he did not know until now where London was - or that Londoners spoke English.

ā€œI couldnā€™t find London on a map if they didnā€™t have the names of the countries,ā€ he said. ā€œI swear to God. I donā€™t know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that.ā€ Crowder added: "I know (Washington Redskins linebacker) London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. ā€œThatā€™s the closest thing I know to London. Heā€™s black, so Iā€™m sure heā€™s not from London. Iā€™m sure thatā€™s a coincidental name.ā€
Channing Crowder has a college degree from the University of Florida.

Iā€™m very grateful the Beasley circus didā€™nt come to town -> The kids probably OK to deal with, but his Mother seemed delusional. The distractions would have been way to much.

Best of luck in Manhattan, KS. Say ā€œHi!ā€ to Toto.

Wow! A voice mail?!?! Did he think he was breaking up with a girlfriend or something? Where is the professionality?

Not in Manhattan obviously.

BTW, is ā€œprofessionalityā€ a word?

This is way off topic, but does anyone remember Eric Williamsā€™ (center for Wake Forest a few years back) mom? Man she was pretty over the top. LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT MEEE!! EVERYONE LOOOOK AT MEEE!!!

Don't llamas have fur? I guess it could be a shaved llama.
