Blackout

I just got an email saying the blackout game is set to be the Tennessee game at TWC Arena. This will be a big change from last years game vs ECU. I think it sounds like a good idea to do it at that game. Thoughts? And BTW does anyone know if the student section will be the same at TWC as in Halton?

IIRC, it was a similar set up, but the lower bowl is much bigger than Halton’s.

Oh, and beer is served, so the student section should be a little bit more rowdy.

I had not even factored that in…MY DEAR LORD! THIS WILL BE GREAT!

Oh, and beer is expensive as s :o :o :o so the student section should be sober or broke.[/quote]

FTFY

Students sat behind the basket for Wake and Maryland a few years ago. Student turnout was very good for both those games.

Panthers games are cheaper, IIRC.

I’m pretty sure it’s $7 +tax. TWC Arena started charged tax this year.

Wow…so where is the pregame tailgate?

How many ounces?

first we want beer, now the beer is too expensive. sheesh.

lol

Last time I checked college students find the beer no matter the cost.

its called getting good and drunk beforehand and sneaking in some mini-bottles, this is the 21st-effing-century. not that difficult.

ha! And I just thought wearing soccer socks to games was a fashion statement for students… guess I was wrong.

Yeah… I got a ticket for “drinking” in Halton one time. They were doing a “sting operation” and said they saw me drinking in the arena. I was not. I had literally drank a half a rum and coke before the game. I still got a ticket.

Be careful. I was basically on probation until a month before I graduated for this little incident, and I wasn’t even drinking in the damn arena.

Man, I wish these game threads discussed the games/teams rather than how many ways/how quick/where we’re gonna git drunk. But I guess that’s the way it is when your (our) team ain’t so hot. :frowning: Just sayin’…

Wrong. Getting drunk is always on topic.

???

It’s a blackout game…

In more ways than 1 ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Not at all. Remember the game at TWC a few years ago? I think it was against Maryland or something. The alcohol just served as a way for sororities to make it into a social event where they all showed up talked to each other the whole time. They never even stood up.
