QCB is currently being a HUGE douchebag.
Did they really have to follow Lutz up with QCB?

I do wish he would have taken a bigger shot at the 2003 BS and the move to the A10. Judy and Woodward deserve a good smack for being caught with their pants down.
Thatās part of the problem, heās still using that as an excuse. We moved to the A10, get over it and adapt.

Like the folks who hate the idea of Delonte being an HC candidate, I too have a long memory and hold grudges. I remember old CUSA and the A10 doesnāt hold its jock. We could have been in the Big East and all we had to do was start playing the nationās most popular sport.
Bobby shouldnāt use it as an excuse, but Judy and then Chancellor Woodward completely dropped the ball.
Not just the lack of vision and ambition, but at that level of management, you do contingency planning year round. To not have a firm strategy to avoid getting punted from CUSA, was piss poor on top of the miss on starting football.

This!
Love Bobby, love his heart, but this is something that he struggled with, in my opinion. Heāll land on his feet and be fine.
From the press conf, with every unit (round) of the NCAA worth $220k/ yr for six yrs, I can see now that Charlotte is nearly at the end of that.
It is a business.
What did QCB say that was so bad? I had the impression I was supposed to feel sick about it based on what Packer was saying during his rambling, but since it wasnāt in English I really donāt know.
Iām serious. QCB was not speaking any discernible language.

Not to stir up too much trouble⦠but would someone tell me what you do when you push for something and your boss says no? Judy made it evident that she answers to phil today - she answered to woodward then. Everything I have ever heard about him and football was a firm NO.
So - Iām sure someone would say that she could have been ambitious about it outside of closed doors, but would you parade your ideas around in front of your coworkers if your boss told you no about something? Doubt it. And I would be willing to bet she campaigned for it behind closed doors - why wouldnāt she? Football = money. Football also equals another goal for her to strive for to be successful. Sheās an athletic director - challenges are what she lives for, and sheās gotten this far based on her success.
Judy Rose is a much more intelligent person than most of you give her credit for.
I apologize if this turns into a thread jack, but Iām sick of this blame game we play about why we donāt have football. Get over it. I donāt think youāre blaming the right people.

Good post, good point, and spot on. Usually what kills a thread.
That, and it was ātoo long.ā No way anyone could read all that.
People that have ties to the AD defending it. News at 11.
Revisionist history at its finest.
I guess Temple and Xavier werenāt in the A10 this season.
If you want to compare apples to apples, it is sort of tough, because we have not been as good as we were in CUSA. However, I am sure if you compare the crowds of the non-marquee CUSA games to the non-marquee A10 games, they are rather similar.
If we win consistently, people will come. That is the cityās rep, they donāt show up until you have done something. It sucks, but that is how it is.

what the heck is all of that supposed to mean?
:))
As far as I know my only tie to the Athletic Dept. is being a long time fan, but I agree with Zeroās post.

Exactly. We have to win on a consistent basis to get more alum and local support. People will not come and see a team that loses 7 of 8.
AND, Iām tired of the A10 excuse. No doubt CUSA was a better time BUT if we would WIN something the A10 could be just as good. Finishing mid to lower tier in the A10 does nothing.
I acutally wanted to hear Bobby say something about not going to the NCAAs in five years, losing at home on homecoming, senior day, A10 tourney?? Those kinds of things are unacceptable.
