Actually, a Christmas Eve in Hawaii sounds kind of nice.
Mele Kalikimaka!
Iāll be at our first ever bowl game, you donāt miss that kind of thing.
North Texas won the Heart of Dallas Bowl against UNLV today. First time the Mean Green have gone to a bowl since 2004. They look like they will be a formidable opponent in the new CUSA.

They used to average over 30,000 fans per game back in the 80ās. A few good seasons and I see no reason why they canāt do that again, especially with 3 other Texas teams in the conference. La Tech is pretty close too I believe.
Their student attendance is great actually. It is the general public that doesnāt really show up to their games, but winning will fix that. I think theyāll be a great fit for CUSA honestly.
I canāt. Too big of a potential financial hurdle for me. If itās within driving distance or a low-price flight destination, itāll be much more likely for me. I have $1200+ wrapped up in our regular season games, and stretching the budget to do that, so I canāt throw another grand plus at a bowl trip. Will greatly depend on where itās at for me.
C-USA won 3 bowls, and lost 3. .500! Woot!
Would you guys commit to going to the first bowl game we make, regardless of destination?
anything east of the Mississippi and Iād mostly likely go. If we were in Dallas or Houston I might go as well since those are easy and presumably not outrageously priced flights.
I will be there regardless of where it is played. Hopefully that day comes sooner rather than later.
Yeah NN I agree - east of miss and I am there. West and its prob 50/50
It depends on if you can get off of work on short notice. I canāt predict scheduling availability.
Yes, 100%. I would consider our first ever bowl game to be as important as our first ever game.
Idaho- No. Anywhere else Iād give it a shot
You typically have a monthās notice. I donāt know what concentration camp you preside over comrade Ken, but at my work 2 weeks notice is plenty enough. Also, take into account the type of bowl we would likely play in is going to be on a date between the 22nd and 31st of December. Pretty easy to get days off around then.
Iād likely be in so long as itās East of the Mississippi as well (essentially somewhere I can drive to). Could be hard to pull off anything else.
clt is limited to the belk bowl. The zep has range anxiety.
