Cameras/Photography

So I just got a Sony DSLR A230 Camera. I’m pretty new at the whole photography thing and have read a few things. Mainly, I got tired of subpar pictures with normal digital cameras and the options they provided. Being an architect I get irritated with what I can/cannot shoot with a lens and wanted something better to get detail as well as better overall shots. Anybody on here into this stuff? If you are try not to talk over my head as I’m new to it.

My new toy came with a standard 18-55 mm lens. I’d like to get one with a bit better zoom at some point, and a wide angle lens, but I’ve heard for the most part an 18-55mm lens can handle a good amount.

Probably going to head over to the South Mountain Range this weekend to just get out of the house and get some pictures.

Let us know what you think of the new SLR! I’d definitely love to get one, but can’t afford the $$$ at the present time. Keep us posted.

BTW - which architecture firm are you with?
