What about the WR Hoffman that redshirted last year. I thought he was supposed to be a highly rated talent.
Had anyone heard anything about him?
I mean, he was only a 3 star so not that highly rated, but he did seem to hype himself.
Hoffman is on the 2026 roster.

I think he knows that he’s on the roster. I think he’s looking for info on how Hoffman has looked so far and if he will play this year. Where does he fall on the depth chart?
Some Freshmen are ready before others. Many/most do not play significant roles until their 3rd or 4th year. Freshmen from the 2025 class were few, but some have moved up the depth chart faster than others. Here are all six, and what I think their status on the depth chart probably is. The number in parenthesis is the number of other G5 offers they had, plus any ratings they had from the recruiting services:
St Clair (10, 82 ON3, 82 247, 5.4 Rivals) - Probably 4th string
Womack (8, no ratings) - Starter
Doss (6, 85 ON3, 86 247) - probably 3rd team DT
Hoffman (2, 85 ON3, 84 247, 5.2 Rivals) - 3rd string
Sikes-Rathby (0, 85 ON3) - backup LT
Bui (0, no ratings) - competing for PK job
As is usually the case, the ratings are not a very good predictor of how they will perform on the field. The recruiting services do a great job on 4-5 star recruits, but not well at all on low 3 star recruits.
Edit - Hunter had some positive things to say about how Hoffman has looked in practice, and expects to see him on the field at some point this year.
He was being hyped up as a good get for us by some people on the board I think that was because not only a good receiver but I think he was a speedster track guy. Maybe I’m making it up in my head. Don’t remember who and it doesn’t matter. That hype had me watching for him to pop this year and maybe it will happen!.
Depth chart FINALLY released. How about that lefty PK, Kelly!?! You guys had me thinking I was crazy when I saw him taking FG reps on the instagram page lol. In all seriousness, I don’t think I’ve ever seen all starting specialists spots as “OR”. It will definitely be telling who trots out there first for each role.
Also, by my math we have 140 games combined under the O lines belt when they take the field on Saturday. They did a great job recruiting size and experience, and I can’t wait to see how dominant that unit can be on Saturday! 
As I recall, Kelly’s brother posted on here that his brother was focusing on Punting, so it surprises me that he might be the kicker. It may indicate that neither Bui or Birtwistle have locked down the job. It definitely complicates things for the holder, snapper, etc, if sometimes you have a lefty kicker and sometimes a righty.
I think that on the whole my depth chart was very close.
- Two new JUCO players moved into spots on the chart, Jamil Davis as a backup DT, and JP Patterson as the starter at NB.
- Some minor adjustments at DB: McIntosh and Hines swap places, between FS and NB. Croft moves to the top at CB. Usher moves ahead of Williams II.
- A big shakeup at RG, and both utility OL (Silvia and Bullerdick) are now listed at RG. Are Pierre-Nau, Green, and Omarion Davis all injured?
- Wall III, whose film impressed me, moved up to #2 at LB. On film, he looked very fast.
- As for Sikes-Rasby, I had identified him on the other thread as the backup LT, but apparently forgot to update it here.
