Show Dawg, maybe not forced, but no one wants to stand out as the only one not doing something in a crowd.
clt asks why are the gold dusters being punished?
Clt, maybe they donât drink the Judy & Brad Kool-Aid? But thatâs just speculation, I donât know.
When a bad preacher leaves a church you always give him a standing O his final Sunday. Then you buy some cold ones on the way home to toast his exit and end of your weekly misery.
I wouldnât of stood last night. I would give her polite golf clap like she double bogeyâd.
Neither would I.
Got the word from some of the Football staffers this morning, that the Chalk Talk wasnât very well put together. Was told that there would be consequences if they did not go. Wow!
I spoke to some of the players at a Basketball game about a month ago and they said that they started off-season workouts but one of the strength coaches is not allowed to work with the team and has been reassigned in athletics⌠has anyone else heard this? I didnât see this in the coaching changes at all.
The staff is a mess just like we all thought. I feel bad because we do have a few talented kids out there.
My honest thoughts:
This was a down year for the area of Charlotte football recruiting in general. By my count, there were only 4 kids in mecklenburg county that went G5. Two went to Army, one went to Colorado State, one went to ECU. In my opinion, that signals that we lost out on one kid. CSU and Army offer things we simply canât to a mecklenburg county kid.
UTEP signed a couple of area players - one from Myers Park HS in Charlotte and the other from Hickory Ridge HS in Harrisburg.
FWIW, I counted 10 football players from Mecklenburg County headed to P5 programs including Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mizzou, NC State, South Carolina, Stanford, and UNC-CH.
Any chance this will go up on the youtube channel?

Agree. Just noting that there were 15 FBS signees (actually 14 since the GT recruit is a PWO) from Mecklenburg County high schools for the 2018 class.
I saw the ranking of the top 25 players from both NC and SC in the Observer yesterday and where they had decided to play next year. I do not expect us to be in the running for the top 10-15, but would expect us to at least contend for the ones between 15-25. I know ECU picked up one from NC and I think a few other G5 schools picked some up in SC. I cannot remember the exact schools, but we should at least show some interest.
There are more than 20 high school football teams in Mecklenburg County, which means at least 450 starting players. If 10 went to P5 programs I have to believe that some small percentage of the 440 are good enough to help a 1-11 team. Even 1% would bring us 4 or more players.
Rock Hill even. Southpoint has 5 FBS kids as seniors. Then there is NW and RH high. Fball Factories.
I agree and how about we take a chance on some local kids so we can get in good with some of the coaches. We need local coaches advocating for Charlotte.
Updated spring roster is now on our websiteâŚyou know you have QB problems when you have EIGHT QBs (including Pope whoâs not listed yet)

The entire program is a mess, from the top down. From Lambert down to the strength guys. It needs a huge overhaul, and I am sure the next AD will take care of it.
There were three on the list who were going to non P5 schools, two of which are QBâs. The other was Steven Gilmore going to Marshall but had interest from numerous P5 schools. I donât expect Charlotte with how the program is currently to get any of those players. What you do want is to seem them finding the players that others missed on that come in and contribute. That is what the really consistent G5 schools have done over the years to win.

Iâm sure you know that the one kid from Hickory Ridge was Cal Wallerstadt.
I didnât hear the Coastal fear, but hey the beach is justified.
The Liberty fear, I about died laughing, but kept a straight face. No one wants to go to restrict everything you can do thatâs fun land.
