I’m not sure about the bookstore. But I can tell you that it seems Academy Sports at Concord Mills didn’t have a problem getting UNC-CH and Panther gear, the store is filled with it. But not a single shirt for Charlotte.
That Academy store ticks me off. They used to have 8-10 racks of Charlotte gear. Last I saw, they had like 1 or 2 hooks.
There is a longstanding trend to order inferior merchandise, in either quality, design, or both, and then stores say “We didn’t sell the Charlotte gear.” Look at 704Shop, there is clearly a demand for Niners gear. That Academy, what little bit of Niners stuff I’ve seen in there the past few years has been total crap. There is basically nothing there now, last time I was in, they didn’t even have a Niners hat.
Big thing worth noting re: supply chain:
UNC-CH, State, Duke, etc hasn’t recently changed their logo. Their gear is stocked in huge quantities. Furthermore, licensees prioritize their gear because it simply sells better. That’s the shitty truth of the situation.
We, on the other hand, finalized the design and got the marks to vendors and licensees late in 2019… right as the virus started to explode in the parts of the world that we rely on to manufacture that gear.
All of the major apparel companies have been shitty towards their non-blue blood accounts for years, this just compounds the issue. Fan gear aside, there was a concern that the teams themselves wouldn’t get their uniforms in time for the season to start. Pretty sure that’s going to be a moot point, though.

Some of y’all just want to complain to complain.
I can 100% guarantee you that the NFL is having problems with the gear supply chain. We are priority #10,000 for nike, at best, during this time.

I didn’t mention Academy Sports because I think heads should roll.
I mentioned it because I was disappointed that I couldn’t find gear for my team. Maybe you consider that complaining. But that’s just being a fan in my book.
I considered that too. And I’m sure it’s partly true for the new logo. But they didn’t have gear with the old logo either. I was curious if old logo merch was going to be marked as clearance.

I ordered some new logo Niner stuff from the bookstore at 3:30 Monday afternoon, and it was just delivered (Wednesday 11:30 AM). Got to give them credit when they get it right. - good job B&N!
@Nugget, I didn’t have a similar experience. Two days after the launch, I show up at the bookstore in person to check stuff out and was completely underwhelmed with the selection of apparel. Only about 3 circular racks of clothing, half of it either $90 1/4 zips or ladies shirts.
Soooooo, a day later, I ordered the $37 long sleeve C-pick and it took nearly 3 weeks to get here. Upon opening the package of the most expensive tee shirt I’ve ever purchased, I was really disappointed in the quality of the iron-on logo. Just really disappointed… See pic.
Yeah, looks like you got a dud. I might have sent that back. Although it took a while the quality of my t-shirt was good. I still have one t-shirt that I ordered at launch that is on back order.
The quarter zip is actually 69. I bought it
New branded merchandise is available via the bookstore (online only). Lots of glassware such as beer glasses, wine glasses, decanters, etc. I guess the glass didn’t have to travel from Asia Pacific.
I bought a quarter zip too and its now $48.73 on the website. 
This is the first item that i have seen that has Charlotte along with the logo. I think we should have led the rollout with this to get people to associate it with Charlotte. After a while we could have dropped the Charlotte. Champion Jersey Long Sleeve T Shirt | The UNC Charlotte Bookstore
@Hawthorne_49er, have you received your quarter-zip yet? There is a zipper on the right hand side to the smallest, most useless pocket ever. What is the purpose of that? Anyone know?
Hahaha! I had to go look. I did not even know it was there. It will be good for the hold my chapstick moments from the Ms. until I forget its there and it gets washed and ruins it.
What happened to the green shirt with the white CLT? I only see the black shirt option online. It used to be there.
