I wasnāt a huge fan of it personally, but agree that the customer service was near chick fil a level. I didnāt think it was bad or anything, just overhyped I suppose. Probably how people from outside this area feel when they try Cookout after hearing how amazing a Cookout tray is.
I thought the only thing amazing about cookout was how cheap it was? And that they had raised prices so itās not so great?
The food is mid, but a tray was like $4.95 not too too long ago.
CookOut-----Lots of food for the money-----and most is DECENT enough for a quick drive through lunch.
At the end of the day it is still a fast food burger and fries. The glorification can only go so far.
2008 cookout you got a lot of food AND it was pretty good for fast food quality. They served the same chicken tenders and bbq the country club I worked at served(former chef at the cc managed a cookout later and told me this).
Now itās much lower quality food, but still decent enough for an occasional meal. $8 for a tray now though. $3.99 when the one by campus opened. I lived in the adjacent apartments so it was a stop multiple times a week.
My wife and I were in Maui in 2004 when they opened up their first Krispy Kreme franchise. It was on all the news with live reporting and the wait was 4 to 6 hours. They had private jets flying in from other islands that were loading up boxes. The jet set also hired people to wait in line for them. We went on a helicopter tour and the lady beside me asked if we were lucky enough to get a doughnut ( singular) yet. I told her I could get a bakers dozen anytime I wanted and had been eating them all my life. She was freaking out. Showed me everything is relative.
I was listening to a guy from Boston talk about looking forward to eating Bojangles every time he visits Charlotte. He said they donāt have anything like it up there.
When in Romeā¦
Canāt do the Cookout near campus. Feels like Iām betraying Herlockerās.
Itās like PBR being like champagne in Japan or the guy in Scotland riding a BMW freaking out when I said I had Harley.
Itās absolutely all relative and people are stupid.
My father in law was stationed in the Phillipines in the war. He said he went to a strip club in local town that had the most beautiful Filipino women he had ever seen making nothing and one 5ā 10" blonde that looked like an old lot lizard cashing out all the locals. Lol!!!
She was trying to teach the local girls how to do Capitalism right. Itās not about quality, itās about scarcity.
clt says students could take the trains to the davidson mbb game
Donāt love adding homes, would rather add apartments since we are in the city but I guess there is zero walkability on Old Concord anyway
