Once the AAC releases the dates for the football schedule I’ll know what away games I can attend. Almost certainly will go to Greenville and probably Maryland to visit friends in the DC area. I’ve been to Gainesville before so doubt I make that game. I’d really like to go to SMU because who knows long long they’ll be in the conference.

Looks like he has some solid experience. Helping Michigan and Illinois to top ranked special teams units. Not a bad hire.

I’d love to hit Greenville with the ambulance but not sure my marriage will survive three road games.
For Biff I am also a little curious about him as the HC. I like the staff, love the recruiting but the reality is Biff has less college HC experience than Will did. His Saturday abilities as a head man are still unknown. I expect the best but….
Marriage is overrated during football season. She will want you back by the time Christmas arrives.

I thought the same thing NWA, I guess we just don’t know how much of what Harbough did he was involved in, I want to assume he was involved in every decision and play, if so that makes me feel better, it’s very odd he wasn’t on “staff” we all know why but still unusual. Guess we will see in 8 months.
FNZ did a follow up segment on yesterday’s Poggi’s proclamations this morning - did he oversell things saying we would have a top 15 defense? Or how about when he said we would get the G5 CFP bid in 2024?

I think it was designed to create a buzz around the program. Having said that, he has worked with a P5 program and knows what it takes to win at that level. He also knows the talent level of the recruits he is bringing in to compete at the G5 level. Anything is possible.

I look at it as, sunbelt app was a top 25 team. Can we not be at their level with a better team? Sure we could. So not like it’s not possible. Poggi had a gallon of green koolaid but that’s ok.

Top 15 defense probably, but on paper we appear to have made massive upgrades in talent on this side of the ball. If we can get Top 50 I’m turning cartwheels, there’s some potent offenses in the AAC.
The overwhelming majority of the time winning the AAC got you a birth in the Access Bowl, in 2024 that gets you a playoff spot. I want to see how we do next year though before I say that’s happening :).
I like the confidence, and he’s backing it up so far with the talent he’s bringing in and the staff. Acting meek will not get you where we all want to go. At the moment I’m aligning with the texter that told Mac “Tell ECU, App, and Coastal we’re coming for those a#$#es”.

To get any job in any profession you have to oversell.
As long as he comes in and makes the team competitive, that is what I want. Does not have to happen in year 1, but do expect bowl games and competing for the conference championship.
