Iāll add to thatā¦just because a player transfers from a P5 school doesnāt automatically make them a stud. Some of those guys only played in a limited number of games at their respective schools.
Are they excited about Ron Sanchez? They already want to run through a brick wall for Poggi. Poggi will lose some games. He is undefeated right now. Why not upsell? He is building his team. Ron on the other hand has built his own program, and it will never get any better than it is right now.
Do you only show up after a loss? Asking for a friendā¦
It is telling that Mac and Bone did another segment on him this morning, at 7:45 too, prime time morning drive. I think they want us to be the hated program (in a good way) in the state. I hope we win enough so that happens. That ECU game just got even more frosty with Biff at the helm, if we can win.
If we beat ECU right out the gate, theyāre going to hate us. Football is their thing, losing to little ole Charlotte will have them wanting Mike Houston to walk the plank.
Itās well documented MeanJoeGreen has a personal vendetta against Ron Sanchez. It doesnāt matter what Ron does, heās made his mind up and will continue to voice his displeasure at any instance. His posts regarding Niner Basketball are predictable because heās consistent. Fortunate for Ron, MeanJoeGreen doesnāt sign the checks for Ron nor does he have any capacity to make any personnel decisions in the Athletic Department. Heās allowed to not like Ron, but trying to convince an entire message board that they should also not like Ron seems like a monumental task he feels ordained to champion.
Yes, as predicted.
The segment starts @ 32:40 (Hour 2 Friday)
(Admin Edit - link fixed, should take you right to the segment)
I have a vendetta against losers.
I just thought it was funny
Can we ban him instead of closing all the good threads
Donāt want to ban anyone or close threads, so if we can keep this one on topic, that would be great. And as a reminder, this thread is about Charlotte 49ers football.
You know you can mute/ ignore people?
How did we get to talking about Sanchez on a football coach forum anyway? For those on Mac and TBone that stated that we believed in Healey too- are you suggesting Biff may fail like Healey? There is no comparison. Biffās recruits are 3 and 4 stars vs 2 and 3 stars for Healey. That alone is enough to separate the two. His coaching staff is more experienced and demanded more pay and there are more of them. And Biff himself has more experience coaching than Healey. I really donāt see how any one can look at what Biff hads done so far and come to the conclusion that he may be a flop like Healey. Biff has swag for a reason. He has been successful at everything that he has done. I think some Niner fans have been exposed to losing for so long that they cannot recognize a winner when it is staring then in the face. And what would motivate a Niner fan to go on local sports radio and question the future success of the new football coach? So if you are a Niner fan and you have doubts about Biff then stay off sports radio with your comments would be my suggestion. There is no doubt in my mind that Biff will be a success. By that I mean that the niners will be competing for the AAC championship every year including year one. But for Sanchez- the jury is still out.
I could not be more excited. There are no guarantees but ā¦Wow! Not sure how he is pulling this off but glad he is our coach. He āgets it in every way.ā
Itās time for Niner Nation to rally behind Poggi! He is getting things done and he is a winner!
Itās time for us to take Poggiās lead and start talking things up with our spheres of influence. Letās fill up our stadium and get ready to expand!

Why are all these comments about expanding seating for certain games in this thread about Poggi being hired as coach? Annoying.
I think itās because Biff could have significant impact on expansion funding. With his connections and resources he may be able to be a huge asset to get us to the finish line. Coaching is only a part of his job and honestly might not even be his legacy.
