The OC Miller comes across like a random guy they plucked out of a keg party that says he plays a lot of Madden.

This little nugget was in an interview with Steve Spurrier today in the o. Very interesting. :flushed:

I am surprised we are interviewing the OC at Tulsa. Nothing against Tulsa or Spurrier Jr. but I would hope we are aiming a little higher than that. He was one of the coaches we beat this year.

It’s Spurrier’s son and Mike Hill is a Gator. That is all. Now, the son might be the second coming. Then again, I reference here Buddy Ryan. He produced some good coordinators but not a good Head Football Coach.

Still have confidence in Biff?
  • Yes, I want to see how we do next year before being too negative on Biff
  • No, there is enough evidence out there that makes me think this won’t end well

I knew he was a candidate…would have been interesting

You guys that know me know how much I absolutely hate ā€œfire the coachā€ threads. Recruits, parents and all sorts of people read message boards, and these often make fan bases sound crazy.

I’m climbing out of grandmas basement to start this one though.

I do think our staff knows football. I don’t think there’s any problem with our scheme, or our playcalling. I think we have a better NIL set up than many of our peers. Appears to me that we are recruiting at a very high level.

But it’s not working. And it’s not working for a very simple reason. The players and coaches would not be here unless biff was paying them more than their other opportunities. They have zero motivation and they are collecting a pay check. They do not believe in their head coach. He reminds me of Michael Scott. Then when they play poorly, biff says he’s going to beat us up if we talk about it. Which is just extremely funny. As funny as it is though, it is a zero-accountability environment.

I don’t think Mike and biff are on the same page at all. Biff has now made a habit of going after some of our alums that have the highest public profile. That combined with some fairly substantial ticket price increases is a wild combo. I will be very interested to see attendance figures moving forward.

And hey biff, Any time, any place I’ll voice my concerns with you. You don’t have to toss threats at us through the media. If the team was better prepared, less people would have left at half time and posted derogatory tweets. Beating Gardner Webb by one point is nowhere near the level of play you told us all you were bringing here.

Wait, when did he go after alums?

ā€œThe players and coaches would not be here unless biff was paying them more than their other opportunitiesā€
Where would we be without his $$$s?

I think Biff is a good coach. I think he is figuring out how to be a HC in FBS. He has made adjustments to his staff, his philosophy, his recruiting and his demeanor. I think he will continue to do so.
I believe Miller has to go. To me it looked like someone else was calling plays once Purdie went down. Totally different scheme and totally different results.

At some point, our fan base has to learn that when we lose a football game it is not the fault of the OC every single time.

I’m glad you have positive feelings about biff. He has 4 wins. 2 FBS wins and we were getting smacked by Gardner webb at halftime only to beat them by 1. My ambitions for the program are higher than that.

He went after Agent49 on Twitter and called him an ā€œapologist for mediocrityā€ before or during last season after something Agent 49 posted. Can’t remember exactly what it was but it’s strange that now Biff seems to be doing exactly what he was acusing Agent49 of doing. In last nights post game he said if anyone wanted to criticize Purdie they need to do it in Biff’s office and he had lots of bail money or something like that. Also criticized fans for leaving early and sitting in their grand parents basements posting negative stuff on Twitter. After JMU he said if you can’t tell this team is better than last year you are an idiot. There have been a plenty of indirect things and the one direct personal attack on Agent49.

Biff may be a winner at life, but he’s a loser as a collegiate head coach and he’s an embarrassment behind the mic. Probably would have been in high school too if he couldn’t just buy the team like he did.

I’m not calling for him to be fired. I simply don’t care enough anymore. I’m a Niner. I’m used to losing. Doesn’t even phase me anymore.

Yup I remember him going after Agent49. His responses to questions have become more combative since he came here. He’s been snippy with Hunter a couple of times already this year.

His comments last night about fans being critical need to ā€œget out of your grandmothers basementā€ sounded like something David Tepper would say.

With that said, I just want him to win games.

Well, basement fans was definitely something Napier said - sans the grandma part - which will be one the reasons this is his last season in Gainesville. That remark brought heaps of local and national ridicule for UF - mostly for the basement part since that’s rarely a thing in Florida for obvious reasons - on top of the school’s president scandal.

Just like the fans that decided to leave early,
If he doesn’t like being scrutinized for his mistakes and being held accountable as the captain of the ship, then F’ing leave. Just because he has a larger microphone doesn’t mean that his level of degrading, all that doesn’t like the outcomes, is acceptable while those of us that express our discontent are categorized as whiners and not true fans.

Mike hill, I hope, is his boss and should monitor those kinds of comments. You don’t play like garbage then make public comments about fans being pissed. In your grandmas basement is so tiresome and typical of someone his age. Trash folks all you want in the comfort of your own home, but doing it at press conferences is not a good look for a coach that depends on the money of those folks to sustain a program. Whether it be ticket sales or nil money or whatever.

Biff doesn’t have to be here and this feels like a vanity project with each game he saunters out in cut off sleeves and gym shorts. If you win all sins are forgiven, but he ain’t winning and pulling off a comeback at home against GW doesn’t count. He’s been all talk up to this point. Go beat a team you’re not suppose to and string some wins together. Until then you’re getting old, fast.

Biff is loosing fan support play by play. Even the most casual fan would question our preparation, play calling and personnel decisions. He may be too stubborn to help himself.
