Class of 2021 MBB recruiting thread

If he only averages the same 3.8 points per game that he did last year, he would still be the 6th best scorer on our team. That is the state of Niner hoops right now.

Def an upgrade on the roster. Should be a starter player for us I would assume and has 3 years of eligibility. This may be the best pickup by Sanchez this transfer portal just for the 3 years of eligibility. With Trapp and Butler, it’ll be interesting to see the new team.

I am guessing that a young man from Blythewood, SC spent a winter in Syracuse, and said F that!

Braswell was among a group of top 10 SC high school hoopsters that we offered etc in the class of 2018:

Looking at the Cuse stats over the last 5 games of the season Braswell averaged 23 mins a game and scored in double figures twice. He started to make more of an impact late in the season.

This one looks promising folks

Remember also that Demario Mayfield couldn’t even get off the bench at UGA and “averaged” something like 1 PPG or something equally ridiculous. I’m more impressed with how this guy contributed down the stretch than PPG #s.

Also, cuse has had a decent amount of kids transfer over the past 2 seasons, guys who plated less than braswell, who ended up at programs like uri and Providence

Been reading up on Braswell to get a grasp on where he’s from since his Cuse bio lists Jacksonville, FL as his hometown and Portsmouth, VA as his birthplace, his Twitter account lists Virginia Beach as his location (but also includes a Jacksonville Jaguars logo), and the fact he attended Blythewood HS in the Columbia, SC suburbs.

Anyway, his mother was US Navy so that explains Jax and Portsmouth. Plus his Cuse bio says she was stationed in Germany prior to landing in SC. He apparently must have played hoops while overseas, since the aforementioned bio says he enrolled at Blythewood HS near the end of his 9th grade year. In addition, he was the 2017 and 2018 SC high school high jump champ, with a best jump of 6-10.

See that Cincy’s Chris Vogt has entered the portal - 7-1 and 260. Stats from junior to senior seasons really stark, though. 11 ppg and 5.9 rpg during the former and 5 ppg and 3.5 rpg this past year. Followed now ex-Bearcat HC John Brannen from Northern Kentucky to UC.

Someone show me a list of players we have for next year that did not play last year
