Clem's photos of the night

Your a complete moron...he was wearing the hoodie b/c, as you might have noticed, it was cold outside. He had if off the enitre first half but put it on at halftime b/c he didn't want it stolen. He forgot to take it back off after halftime and was kindly reminded....I don't have a problem with that. He's been on the ball crew for 5 years now and know's the gig well. He also has a lot of pride in his middle school....I guess that's terrible too? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since your probably a young punk kid yourself. When you've put as many years into the school and program as me you can run your mouth...until then you know your place....thanks.

Now get back to McDonalds and flip those burgers

Umm… that’s HP youre talking to. As in, stat keeper for the 1977 Final Four team, and all time NN.N great, HP…
see on the front page who has the most posts? remember who used to be there?
awe ok.
I openly criticized a dozen people for wearing ā€œotherā€ college gear last night, but don’t slam the kid for wearing his middle school sweatshirt at halftime…he was decked out in niner gear from hat to socks.

When did Bill graduate 1995…lololololol
he was in college for the 77 team. He was a waterboy.

I didn’t slam anyone.

But I did laugh at you for saying you’ve done more for this school.

Wow, so maybe Clem (HP) and EJ should meet since both their sons have been waterboys for so long… do I sence another meeting at the ATM???

This is why you have to change your name back HP, you have the ā€œnobody gets to f with meā€ status with that name.

EJ, nobody is slamming your son personally. They see an orange (Clemson) tiger paw and the 1st thing that comes to mind is that it’s Clemson. If the hoodie said Carmel middle school above/below the paw then nobody would be discussing this.

If the Pope came to a ballgame wearing just an orange paw on his hoodie, then the same reaction would be made.

EJ, if it were any other symbol, i don’t think it is ever mentioned. Over the last week there has been this inside joke of ā€œjust get the clemson out of your useridā€ or whatever. I was even on that side and didn’t even notice it.

That said, i was kind of in line with your thinking, it was cold. Its good he has school pride, it only carries over to the next school, to maybe when he is at UNC Charlotte.

Clem, when are you changing the name back? It had me thrown for a while.
Since no one else wants to respond to EJ’s comments on the sweatshirt I will.
Much ado about nothing.

EJNiner - The months are only going to get colder so why not invest in a nice Charlotte hoodie?

Problem solved.

-Can’t go wrong there can you man?
-By the way, it was just the students being passionate for their school man. During warm ups we hassled a guy who showed up with a Tarheel shirt on and everybody gave it to him pretty hard.

I have changed my tune on this quite a bit. I now don't really care. When I went to the davidson/UNCP football game, I wore a niner shirt. When I got a panther game, niner shirt. When i went to the Clemson/Temple game, niner shirt. Guess what, I was a paying customer. I still cheered for a team, they weren't "my team" but who cares. Until we can get 9105 people in green, I'll take a paying customer who is not wearing the opponents colors anyday.

Unless they’re wearing Carolina blue, of course.

Unless they're wearing Carolina blue, of course.

i mean you certainly don’t go wearing it in the student section, period.

But put it this way, I work with a carolina grad, big tarheel fan, wears tarheel stuff to work, his brother is a niner grad so he talks to me all of the time about niners basketball, he probably talks to me more about it than any of the charlotte grads i work with. If he and his brother go to a game, and he wants to still support his school, i don’t care. Like I said, I go to other schools and wear our stuff.

I used to get bent about it, but then I realized that it doesn’t just happen at our school. I was watching Wake at Clemson, some guy is holding up an NC State seat cushion? it happens.

You sir, are entitled to your opinion. I may very well be a moron. And you may openly call me that to my face if you so desire. Section 123, row H, 1-4.
He had if off the enitre first half but put it on at halftime b/c he didn’t want it stolen.
There’s a person called a parent that would tell him to take if off and hold any items that could get lost.
He’s been on the ball crew for 5 years now and know’s the gig well.
I suppose you didn’t read post #5 that said my son was also a ball boy for 4 years. In fact he went 150 miles each game to do so.
He also has a lot of pride in his middle school…I guess that’s terrible too?
Not at all. Wish more kids (and parents) did the same. Bonus points to the son.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt since your probably a young punk kid yourself.
No need to give me the benefit. I’m 49, I’ve had two heart attacks, quadruple bypass surgery, been divorced since 2002 and raised two pretty good sons on my own. I would say that when I come back to the campus I do feel years younger, thanks to some of the sturdents I’ve come to know thanks to NNN.

You might want to look on the lower right of page one in the media guide for starters to see who I am. Where do I begin? Head statistician (as a freshman) for the Final Four team 2 years, head statistician of the women’s team two years, first media liason for women’s athletics 1 year, first game videographer 3 years, student assistant for the entire athletic program 3 years, SGA presidential assistant-athletics related 1 year, chancellor’s athletic committee 1 year, athletic foundation member 30 years, season ticket holder 24 years, Green Jacket member, alumni association board of governors 6 years, president of Triad alumni chapter 3 years, one of the first to own a premium tile in the Harris Alumni Center. I’ll stop there. I hope I know my place and I’m sorry if MY loyalty to the school and the program isn’t as strong as yours.

I’m working the late shift, I’ll put the extra secret sauce on your Big Mac. Thanks, the 49ermoron.

BURN

So what screenname did Clemson49er change to?
You sir, are entitled to your opinion. I may very well be a moron. And you may openly call me that to my face if you so desire. Section 123, row H, 1-4.

HP I know who you are…we’ve met a few times before. I sit in 122 row D seats 5-8 and row E seats 5-8. You attacked my 13 year old who loves the school and the program. You questioned his allegence to the school and the program…I’m just protecting my own and my son’s interest…nothing wrong with that.

There’s a person called a parent that would tell him to take if off and hold any items that could get lost.

I had him take it off before the game. He’s old enough to remember to take it off again after the half. He was kindly reminded and obliged.

I suppose you didn’t read post #5 that said my son was also a ball boy for 4 years. In fact he went 150 miles each game to do so.

I know…you live in Winston…my wife is from Winston. And no I didn’t read post #5.

Not at all. Wish more kids (and parents) did the same. Bonus points to the son.

Agreed.

I’m right behind you…came in for the Wistle years…lucky me!

I simply take exception to people slamming my 13 year old kid on the NN board…you would feel the same way. He is a great kid, great student and loves 49er basketball. If anyone takes a pop at him I’ll take exception…again you would do the same. I’ve missed 3 home games in the last 22 years and am also a green jacket member of the athletic foundation. I apologize for calling you out and had no idea you changed your name on the board. I certainly appreciate everything you’ve done for the university and program.

Haven’t eaten there in several years…causes heart disease and bad health in general…

Look everybody calm down… Some were wrong to jump to conclusion on the Clemson logo (hell I made a crack at it), it was for his middle school not the college, so back off. I understand everyone sees Clemson in that logo, well now you’ll see Carmel Christian. He explained why he had it on and that even his son felt out of place wearing it too. So cut him some slack and while at games worry about more important things rather than someone’s attire, how about we start with the game?

I think it’s a joke to get so bent out of shape over these things. Like ID said, it’s going to happen, focus on the game, hopefully these people will too, and change their colors over time.
He wasn’t the only one, by far. I went upstairs at halftime to the hospitality suite and observed the following:
[]Older female alum wearing a WV vest.
[
]Female student or young alum wearing a Florida Gators sweatshirt
[]Male student/young alum wearing a Tarheels ball cap
[
]Girl wearing a Gamecocks fleece
Those were just the ones around the area I was sitting. I’m apathetic about it at this point because it’s never going to change. It was that way when I went to school there and it still is. I just opt to let them look dumb.
We love you too HP! Come out and hang out with us more often!

Its amazing to think I kinda do the same thing with the SGA president you did like 30 years ago. :49ers:

Thanks…I agree…we’re all on the same team. He’ll be ballboy again on Monday so check out the new hoodie…

As for the Tarhole in 105…

The minute he stepped down, we started booing. EVERYONE started booing.

That amazed me, since last year alot of people just looking at us like… wtf are you booing at?

But he took of his Tarhole hoodie and had his green on.

Also, a HPU student came down to see his buddy. He also got booed out. Although with him I was just kinda teasing, since I didnt think it was soo bad.
