its hard to argue with the logic, you can add “gets all the calls” to the list of advantages but I still think Villanova has a pretty good chance if they continue to play to the level they have been

Our pandering to them is more sickening than anything. Judy Rose needs to realize this isn’t helping, and tell Lutz if he knows what is best for him this crap will stop.
Lutz doesn’t live by the motto hate everyone that isn’t us I guess. I am not sure him picking UNC to win hurts us but ok. UNC was the favorite last year and they choked so who knows.
Other then that I agree with his prediction. I hate UNC but I expect them to win Saturday and Monday. Lawson is playing very well and they haven’t had a close game the whole tournament. If Nova can hit some outside shots, who knows.

I can’t say UCONN is a bad choice at all, although I have them falling to Michigan St. Either way, these four teams will make for one exciting final four. I do however disagree that picking the most talented and deep team in the country is a cop out.
Oh and before anyone says I am some sort of UNC-CH closet lover, um no, hated the fairies my whole life.

Heh I'm leading the name change campaign and I call them UNC. I don't think they should be called that, but I think it's silly to pretend they're aren't. I'd rather see it everywhere and keep the anger fresh so I keep pushin and get others helping as well.

thank you for the insight my kind sir. ive always referred to them as UNC and ive always hated them. those two seem to go hand in hand for me and getting it out of our name would please me.

I would still be opposed to it, yes. UNC is the name of the 16 university and 1 high school statewide system and should not be used to refer to any one campus.

clt ALWAYS refers to them as unc-ch, especially when speaking to alumni or fans.

A Head Coach needs to, first and foremost, focus on HIS TEAM.
In this market, Lutz talking about Chapel Hill, casually or not, is pandering.
Would Skip Prosser or Bob Huggins, when they were coaching in Cincinnati, have spoken publicly about each other’s team or about the ohio state university?
what should Coach Lutz have done in this situation? He was asked who he thought would win and why. He gave his pick, and the logical reason for it. Should he had just said no comment or what?
