We had about 4 of our own kneeling. They still played the anthem though. I saw several of the local news outlets talking about this on Facebook. Maybe we need to tell them we did it too to distract from actual football coverage and news.
There is such an “us vs them” dynamic between our athletic department and our alums. It’s embarrassing. I have never witnessed a school that just flat out doesn’t want it’s fans around.
While I agree with you 100%, I don’t see what this has to do with the issue at hand.
The ECU band thing is getting a lot of play from local media. Sort of crazy that we did the exact same thing and nobody has mentioned it once.
Second look: We should start kneeling during the Alma Mater until Judy resigns.
Well considerably less people saw US do it.

I was at the game, made a point to look for people kneeling during the anthem, and still didn’t see anyone kneeling.

I didn’t either. Now as ezu goes, their huge crowd fans at this game went ape-shit over this and booed and complained to the school, on social media, and other media.

Let’s give Judy credit where credit is due. I have no doubt she was responsible for no one kneeling.

Jokes on them, they booed during the national anthem.
Who was more disrespectful?

They weren’t booed during the anthem. They were booed when they performed at halftime.

clt says they were actually saying boo-urns.
The ones we had kneeling were on the left side (looking from the alumni side). In a completely non-musically inclined way, it was someone on the end with a horn, someone about a row in with cymbals, and someone another row or two in with an instrument I couldn’t see.
Probably a bassoon player, those guys are always jerks.
