Yep. No problem with him leaving for Austin but as Dan Wolken surmised, Schlossnagle had already accepted the Longhorns job before the CWS was over.
This is an interesting development in the A&M story:
Schlossnagle just doesn’t know when to STFU.
Alberts has some issues.
Schlossnagle is the last person I would believe to be telling the truth.
Like I said before, no problem with him taking the Texas job but why he felt the need to put on an act during the CWS post game presser and then follow up with this story is head scratching. At least he apologized for the former.
BTW, Jim Schlossnagle does have Carolinas connections as he played baseball at Elon, where he was a pitcher on a team that made it to the NAIA World Series in 1989. Followed up as an assistant at his alma mater and then Clemson prior to heading westward. Originally from Smithsburg, MD, which is near presidential retreat Camp David.
As I expected, Schlossnagle wasn’t exactly on the up and up:
Its always amazing ( especially since around 2000) how the bigger POS you are that is always setting a narrative the faster you move up the income ladder.
I guess you only hold peoples attention for about 24 hours so go ahead set your victim narrative and something new will be out tomorrow.
