Pretty crazy what happened down in Clemson with the highlight catches, coach and player ejections, etc:
I watched that Clemson inning with coach ejections. If nothing happened to the batter that slammed the bat down after the home run … what was the coach arguing/mad about?
Good explanation and the umps actions were justified, IMO.
Well, of course the umpires are going to have their take and anything coming from Clemson - official or not - is going to be biased. Ditto Florida.
Anyway, wasn’t aware that an ejection can result in a two game suspension if the umpire determines the ejected individual didn’t leave the field and/or dugout in a timely manner.
Not justifying the actions of the Clemson coaches in the 13th inning but sounds like some questionable decisions by the umpire crew earlier in the game exacerbated things later on, something not addressed in the umpire’s statement.
