I feel like there is enough money out there for every AAC/PAC/MWC program to get at least $10 million/yr if another player enters the fray. Maybe $12 million for the top league.
Has the PAC even announced their media deal yet? I forget.

Pac-12 media deal expected soon.
Ironic to say the least!
And this reminds me that the other D-I St. Francis - the college in Brooklyn - dropped intercollegiate athletics altogether two years ago. Had fielded the very first NYC men’s college basketball team in 1896.
Wow. On st Francis.
If we ended up doing this I would hope we can get the stadium expanded first then sit on it.
I still think we need the extra amenities and seats for the future no matter what division we end up in.
Very true about the similarities with what happened at Hartford.
There has to be a sweet spot for big but not rich public’s like us and small but kinda rich but not mega rich privates to all come together in a true amateur model with some scholarships but no pay to play.
I’m thinking of most of the G5 and a lot of FCS schools like your westerns your Richmond’s your Gardner Webbs your A&Ts and your Campbell and Elons.

I don’t hate it. Actually, for a mid major, that version of the AAC would be pretty damn good in both revenu sports.
clt says no way to liberty and marshal. rather have odu and jmu if they are R1
Love it, dumping the texas schools for UCONN, UCF, and Cincy. Liberty and Marshall would drive some great rivalries as well. Marshall is the CUSA school I miss the most.

Haven’t talked bout this much in a while, but it looks like the new PAC will likely match the AAC media deal, at best.
When I posted about this three weeks ago, the figure was $10M per school. Hmm…
They still don’t have an 8th team. There’s some interesting threads on this over at csnbbs.
Seems odd that they have not landed an 8th team yet.
Maybe even Menpiss can detect the snake-oil the PAC is trying to sell here?
The Tribe joining Richmond as football-affiliate members of the Patriot League. With Delaware moving up to FBS and C-USA, Coastal football will “shrink” to 13 teams in 2026, while Patriot football will increase to 9.
Thought maybe this was a cost cutting move but reminded that the Patriot voted in 2013 to allow football scholarships. The geographic footprint is somewhat smaller. Certainly isn’t because of TV money.
