Coastal Carolina is quietly putting to together a very good athletic program.

Hmmmmmm…so UTEP, La Tech, and us should be top 3 in CUSA per their ratings?

You would assume so. What about Tulsa, did they lost a lot this season?

Tulsa is no longer in CUSA. (AAC)

You would assume so. What about Tulsa, did they lost a lot this season?
NA already pointed out that Tulsa left, but no they did not lose a lot. They had a VERY young team last year. Mostly freshmen and sophs I believe. They could be a strong team in the AAC this year.

So, it looks like we will be in the Top 98. I predict we come in at Number 28.

I think we will be around 85. Utep will probably be around 65, and La Tech 40ish.

When was the last time the national consensus thought more of our team going into a season than we did?

Never. ::slight_smile:

Are they ranking us up because they aren’t sure Major will be back, or down?

I agree. If they are smart, they stay in the Big South and pull that auto bid forever.
My high school age daughter says it’s starting to become a “hot” school for kids wanting to be near the beach.

Looking ahead at future comments about where we wind up… If we make the Top 85, Major has proven he is a good coach. If we miss out on the Top 144, this outfit doing the rating has no idea what they are doing.

fify
but agree re preseason rating things!
#83 UTEP MINERS C-USA #3
#84 Green Bay
#85 Creighton

Us and La Tech left, I’d say. Would feel better if they didn’t pick #3 in CUSA as the 83rd team, of course they are stating in the write up that CUSA will once again be a one bid conference (no shock if that happens). The conference, I think, is wide open. Only shame is that the hot team at tourney time will go to the NCAA’s. Hope its us.
