CSTV vs Yahoo????

first big thanks to those involved in getting the 12 TV games…now I need someone with a PHD in internet broadcast to explain to me what live feed mechanism to purchase. I am not complaining here, just trying to figure out what to buy or not buy, and have my ducks in a row, so if I am in a hotel or airport somewhere and want to watch a game, I know where to go.

It looks like for $4.99 per month you can get a Yahoo acct and watch all Halton vid feeds and all radio games (no brainer since you can’t hear 1660). And for $10 you get all 40 Yahoo schools home vid feed, but none are A10???

Now I hear the Niners are the [U]only[/U] A10 team (per A10 board) on Yahoo, and everyone else went with CSTV for home video feeds. So if I want to watch a vid feed when we play La Salle or Temple, then I will need a CSTV pay acct for $15/mo???

It appears the thing to do is buy the $4.99 Yahoo package now for radio and Halton vid, and then in Jan-Mar also throw in the $15/mo CSTV deal to watch our road A10 vid games???

It seems that for $10 at Yahoo! you only get video feed for your own team and audio feed for the other teams. I paid the $10 for the month thinking I’d get video feed for all the teams but it doesn’t seem to be the case. Also the video feed for the 49ers is very limited, the next video feed is for Dec 8 against So. Ill.

Do you get video feed for all the games at CSTV? or is it just for your own team?

Skimpy for sure for the A-10.

Charlotte signed a multi-year deal, I believe, with Yahoo so they can’t switch to CSTV right now. Perhaps in the future, which would be a natural fit obviously since CSTV does the web site.

You may want to take a trip around the league and visit their “All Access” pages. For example, I just went to Dayton’s and all of their events say “free.” Will that change later in the year? I don’t know.

This might even be worth calling around to sports information offices at each of the schools to see which schools you can get for free before signing up for the All-Access. (Duquesne looks like they charge. And I’m sick of this so I’m stopping).

Oh no, lots of us are interested. I’ve just been keeping an eye on the thread.

Generally somebody figured out how to watch them online for free, that’s what I’m hoping for.
