Current offers out for 2005

Here is the current list of guys we appear to be interested in. First list are the guys we have offered; second list is guys we haven’t but are interested in. I’m sure I’ve missed a few or chose not to list guys that we appear no longer interested in (or vice versa)…Paul Harris, Paul Johnson, Billy Humphery, etc…

Guys we have offered (and are still open…have not committed anywhere):
Thomas Lane, a SG from Oklahoma City (OK) Cassidy. He is 6-4/185. Not ranked by Rivals but a 3 star player. 2 offers so far.

Alonzo Gee, a SF/SG from Palm Beach Gardens (FL) Dwyer. He is 6-6/205. Ranked #38 overall by Rivals. Gaining more offers weekly.

Jeremy Goode, a PG from Charlotte (NC) Garinger. He is 5-10/165. 2 star recruit by Rivals.

Josh Dollard, a PF from Hemingway (SC) Prince Avenue Prep. He is 6-8/210. 3 star recruit.

Dante Cunningham, a PF from St. Johns College HS in Washington, DC. He is 6’7/190. Has been offered by a host of schools. 3 stars by Blue Chip Hoops.

Kenyan Harmon, a SF from North Augusta HS in North Augusta, SC. Only offered by us at this point. 2 stars by Blue Chip Hoops.

Kelving Palacios, a SF/PF from Eastern Oklahoma State (Juco) in Wilburton, OK. We are the only ones to offer so far.

Michael Neal, a 6’4 SG from Lon Morris CC. Appears we have offered according to other insiders on this board.

Others we’re showing interest in, but appears we have not offered:
DeAndre Coleman, a SF from Stephenson (GA) Stephenson. He is 6-6/195 - no offers so far.

Arinze Onuaku, a 6’9, 255 PF/C from Duval HS in Lanham, MD. He has a lot of good offers but we have not so far. A big timer. 3 star player according to Blue Chip Hoops.

Chris Lowe, a 6’0 senior Point Guard from Mount Vernon (N.Y.) has a list that includes Charlotte, St. John’s, Hoftra, Rhode Island, Oregon State, Arizona State, UNLV and Clemson. The favorites are Charlotte and Oregon State.

Kyle Marks - a 6’6 SF from Dwyer High School in Palm Beach, Florida (same school as Gee). Tough to tell if we’ve offered so far.

Doneal Mack - 6’5 SF from Charlotte Independence.

What’s the over/under on how many scholarships we’ll have to offer?

E Bad, Sager, Plavich, Pigford are all out the door this year.
Prossibily Iti, quite possibly Withers.

Missing anyone? I don’t think so, since in theory Bennett will be a scholie player next year.

So 4 for sure, quite possibly 6. Math majors?

You’re all over it NLP.

I have to say, that I don’t see enough size on that list. To be sure, I prefer players over just size, but someone has to play the 4 & the 5. As NLP pointed out, we are definetly losing 3 wing players and a forward. But we are also possibly losing our all conference 4 and Iti. We better be prepared for that, or we’re gonna be playing a 5 guard team & everyone is gonna post us up.

We already have Mitch Mullis in the fold for 2005, don’t we? He would take up one of the schollies.

Is this guy for 2005? and is this the guy that was on the team a couple years ago(as a freshman) that had that the kid that went App. St.? If this is the same guy I 'm thinking about, then we should go after him hard. The guy I remember was very good, almost as good as the guy that was the senior star(App. St. kid?).
