Sept. 1 vs. Fordham; Sept. 8 vs. Appalachian State; Sept. 22 at UMass; Nov. 3 at Tennessee

Since joining the league fulltime in 2015, Charlotte has struggled against nonconference opponents with the 49ers putting together a 3-9 overall record. Two of those victories were against FCS foes at home. In fact since 2015, the program is just 3-15 at home.

Would love to match that (3) next year, to borrow a term from baseball would be a good year to have a good year OOC.

That was a very surprisingly optimistic review…until they predicted wins at 3.5.

I guess that’s the saddest part. The article mentions how we return so many starters…everyone on defense. The defense should be better…the offense should be better with the incoming QBs and new O coordinator. We should score more points and be more fun to watch.

And all of that combined results in a very hard to find 3 wins on the season.

All of that optimism for 3 wins…wow…we are bad.
