Seeing as I cant get off work to make our first FBS game, I’m going to go ahead and admit, that’s going to be one heck of an unproductive final 2 hours of the workday for me.

2 things stick out to me here, UTEP getting 33 points might be worth taking and somehow WKU isn’t favored over Vandy. Vegas knows way more about football than 99.99% of fans so the fact they have us within a TD is a good sign.

REALLY want to see C-USA go into the first weekend at least 2-2. Of course with one of those wins being Charlotte but WKU needs that W as well if they are going to have a special season, as some predict. Anything beyond that would be awesome but not expected.

WKU needs to steamroll Vandy. They are not a good football team. If that doesn’t happen, we’re a lot closer to WKU (which is a bad thing) than we thought. Here are a couple of flashback scores from Vandy last season:

Lost at home vs Temple 37-7
Gutted out a 21-20 home win against Charleston Southern, when CSU didn’t have the RB (C. Reyes) who racked up 200 yards against us.

They did beat ODU 42-28. That was the only decent thing they did all season. The good SEC teams beat the crap out of them. Ole Miss, Miss St and UGA and a bad USC team (with no defense) hung 41, 51, 44, and 48 on them. Even a bad Florida team put 34 on them.

If WKU cant handle them, then WKU doesn’t belong in the conversation for the Access Bowl.

I think Arkansas might be a really good team this year, but as much as they run it, 33 is a big #

Agree on WKU, that reeks of SEC being worth a TD

Bump, good games tonight to get things started:

FIU @ UCF 6pm CBSSN
WKU @ Vandy 8pm SECN
UTSA @ #22 Arizona 10pm PACN
