DA

Remember you all bagging DA at the start of the year. And many of you had good right to. His shot selection and overall play was lagging but he has stepped it up big time for conference play.
His first half today was poor but a 19 point second half was awesome

DA has arrived just like i said he would

AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE…OI OI OI!!!

I hope this isn’t a jinx thread. I seem to remember a thread like this about one of our players last year and then he hit a dry spell.

It’s all thanks to Chisox and J4L for taking losses to him in pool to build his confidence.

He definitely showed how much he means to the team tonight. The score was a lot closer than it should have been when DA had 7 TOs and was contributing very little. Once he “woke up”, the team simply pulled away.

My biggest complaints about DA in the beginning of the year was that I felt that his shots were ending our possessions. But this has been his strengh lately - either they go in or we follow up with a rebound. I was looking at some of his stats on pomeroy and they were pretty surprising. If he keeps it up, we’re in good shape.

1 assists : 7 to’s

Looks like ballhog numbers to me.

you guys do realize who we’re playing right?

but it’s good for his confidence. the BIG step will be against X/GW/St Louis

if you watched the feed. He was double teamed nearly every time. Knocked over sometimes. Ref’s were brutal tonight. Thank god it didn’t cost us the game.

I thought DA was good in other our two conference losses to begin the season as well. He really has picked his spots to shoot the ball and his rebounding has been phoenominal. His defense has improved by a lot over the season and he is the only one I see bringing it now each time we go out to play. If we can get the other two (Lee and EJ) of the three headed monster play big then we can beat almost anyone. The problem is it is very rare all 3 show up for a game.

Tonight DA accounted for 40% of the points, he shot 60% from the field and 55% from the arch and added 7 rebounds.

You know the mantra.

If 2 men are guarding you. Then 1 man must be open.

60% from the field, 55% from the arch, and 7 boards, I know about the TO’s hurt, but damn if he keeps shooting like that let him shoot as much as he wants!

excellent point. those games should tell us a lot. about da and the rest of the team.

Which on a side note, SLU looked scary yesterday against X.

I’d agree but lets be realistic, nobody is going to shoot like that every game.

That's not surprising, he was triple teamed against St. Joe.

DA is putting the ball on the floor more. That beats the hell out of jacking up a 3 with two people in your face.
