Davisdon, but only because it will help our RPI more.
let the Duke wanna-bes on Lake Norman beat the ACC team… so when we punch them in the mouth at Halton Dec 5 it just pads our RPI.

As much fun as it is to dislike Davidson, I pull for them pretty much all the time except when they’re playing us. McKillop is a righteous dude.

As much as I hate both teams’ fans, I guess I will be pulling for Davidson. It will make it that much better when we beat them. :biggrin:

I understand the RPI argument. But do you think if it gets to the end of the season and both of us are bubble teams, a win for Davidson will help them much more than if they lose? If they lose by 1 and we beat them by 10, I’m not sure how much different the RPI would be than if they win then we beat them by 1.
Then the other thing to consider is would a win like this help Davidson in recruiting? Could McKillop build the Gonzaga of the East?

The only bad thing is the arrogance that Davidson will have if they beat the Number 1 team in the county. Could you imagine how high they would jump in the polls? What a sickening feeling!!! Although, if Davidson wins, their head will be so blown up for 22 days (Dec.5) making it that much sweeter when we beat them.

Davidson has beat unc-ch before did it help their recruiting then?

I’m pretty sure the RPI isn’t based on how much you win by. In Kenpom effiency ratings yes, but that doesn’t count for anything.
Bottom line, if Davidson wins by 1 or 50 it helps us RPI wise (even if we lose to them). True 9er fans will be pulling for the Wildcats tonight.
Well, we play Davidson, not Chapel Hill. So, from a logicistics standpoint, it makes more sense to want them to win.

Yea, unlike the ACC you have to acutally have a decent non-con schedule in the A-10 to get an at large. If you finish in the top 4 of the ACC you are pretty much guaranteed an at large.
A Davidson win only helps the 9ers, also this is why I pull for EVERY A10 team in non-con play.

Davidson may be our biggest rival but for many of us the team we hate the most is the tarholes.
