Duquesne’s Jackson scores 1,000th point in win[/b]

That is a rather kind article title by the Observer.

I like Jim,he cares…but he’s kinda become an apologist for Bobby.

Guess I’m reading Jim’s piece differently. Pretty straightforward, though he could have mentioned how the Dukes probably should have been up by 9-10 points at the half but allowed the Niners to tie the game with a combination of TOs and boneheaded fouls in the final minute!

Is it not time for Mack to stop shooting 3s? Seriously, what is his 3-ball % for the season? It can’t be good.

26.1%

Good Lord- I can do that in my sleep…

I take that back- If you can’t hit AT LEAST 1 of 3, it’s time to do something different

Coleman is shooting 29.9%, not like he’s on a tear either. However he has been playing better as late.

Mack lost to a girl in Midnight Madness pretty badly during the 3-point contest.

That should be proof enough for him to S-T-O-P.

Six stupid 3s a game is the difference between a win and loss.

Anyone surprised by any of this is either new to the program or blind.

Mack is a selfish and undisciplined ball-hog. He DOES NOT BOX OUT - EVER! and he shoots and shoots and shoots, never following his shot, and passing up open teammates regularly. On top of that, he keeps throwing the ball out of bounds, and getting his pocket picked too often. The only reason he hasn’t had even MORE turnovers is that he is riding the bench because he picks up too many stupid fouls.

Yeah, I am gonna miss Coley more than Mack.

I liked how Mack ran a screen for the other team towards the end of the game when it was tied. He staggered around the free throw line not moving his feet and being lazy on defense like always and picked our defender off their shooter for an easy layup.

It was beautiful.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on that ever changing here. I just hope we recruit the next JobeyDemonPlavichGoldwire.

If Andersen takes those six 3’s he hits 2.5 (7 pts) and we win. Ian is shooting 41.4% from three. Much better than the 34.5% Leemire put up last year. For some reason he does not get the same props and he is obviously a better shooter.

Yeah, he is a better shooter and a worse player.

Yeah, he is a better shooter and a worse player.

Leemire
FG%- 37.3
3 pt %- 34.5
FT%- 80
A/TO Ratio- .699
Reb Per Game- 4.4

Ian
FG%- 38.5
3 pt %- 41.4
FT%- 90
A/TO Ratio- .412 (ouch)
Reb per game- 2.5

Not a huge amount of difference. The role for both was/is to shoot and make threes. Ian is better.

Leemire was a better defender and was not prone to getting his shot blocked.

I really can’t imagine anyone making a case for Ian being a better basketball player than Leemire, but I think the haterade for Ian and Mack is too strong.

Agree about Leemire being a better basketball player. However, Ian is better in his role as a three point shooter. Much more of a threat than Leemire.

Mack is awful.
