E. Victor Nickerson requests release from Charlotte

I liked E-Vic. Seemed like a nice guy with a good head on his shoulders. Do we have an idea about where he is going? If back to GA there is not a better B-Ball program anywhere in GA that is as good as Charlotte. GA-Tech would be higher profile but doubt he can get on and play more than he did here. Anything less is a bad move for both basketball and academics.

If he transfers to another program equal to or worse than ours far away from home then I’ll just assume there were some internal issues between he and the program.

Hell if you tweet him he may just tell you. His twitter yesterday said ā€œif you want to know just ask.ā€ This was shortly after the article about his transfer was released.

Looks like metro / LambertSwag already tweeted him asking why he wanted out and he said ā€œbehind the scenes type situation.ā€

He also said ā€œE. Victor Nickerson@vic5nic[/color
Almost could not have asked for a more perfect situation. I’m going to miss it on the real.ā€

Leads me to believe he’s leaving on pretty good terms.Hate to see him go. Wish him luck at his next sto

I saw on his twitter, someone asked why and he said ā€œbehind the scenes type situationā€. Hope he isn’t talking about the staff, but I guess it is a possibility

Honestly, and this is just my best guess… I have a strong feeling that this is simply an instance of the kid wanted to go back home.

Keep in mind… the humble kid with a good head on his shoulders… most likely candidate to miss where he came from, also most likely to go back if something is going on in his personal/family life that would make going closer to home his best move.

There are a lot of guys who’s departure would make me very worried. E-Vic is not one of them, simply because he seems more than anybody to realize that life is much bigger than basketball.

Whatever influenced his decision, I really hope for the best for him.

Agreed. Even though I don’t want to see him go, he is a really good guy and I wish absolutely nothing but the best for him.

E-Vic is a great kid and has a wonderful mother who was at almost every game and a very supportive family. He definitely didn’t leave because he was home sick. E-Vic will do well and be an asset to whomever he plays for next. When he says its a "behind the scenes type of situation" believe him. Alan Major and Oliver are twisted and foster a negative culture behind the scenes. If any of you would talk to and listen to the players that have left, or their families you would have a better understanding.

But I guess that does not fit the agenda :))

I’m sure Major is a diabolical psychopath that gets pleasure out of inflicting mental anguish on young men. The cover of college basketball coach is almost too brilliant! Along with Oliver it’s the perfect ā€œKiss the Girlsā€ scenario.

Well maybe David Scott should do his job and interview/give us the other side of the story instead of just the bias scripted B.S. that comes from Major and the AD.

So now that EVN is gone you’re not going to trash his game and make him out to be a martyr? Awesome.

Colby Lewis would be a good one to ask about Major.

So would Derrio, and Braswell. But i’m sure you would rather just eat what MajorOliver shoves down your throat. :))

Fits your agenda

I would love to talk to some of the ones that have left amd hear their side of the story as I am a fair minded person. Please PM me and I’ll give you my cell # and have them call me. I’m serious.

Why don’t you tell me what Derrio would say? And then I will ask him.

Hootie … I DO RESPECT THAT and I SALUTE YOU SIR in that you are smart enough to realize that there is a side to MAJORSMADNESS that is not being heard.

PB why don’t you just ask Derrio yourself why MajorOliver totally screwed his senior year and then talk to his parents and get their side. I already have. So has David Scott but he conveniently did not print it. ::slight_smile:

Totally screwed him how? I don’t know anyone in Derrio’s family other than Derrio so I can’t ask them.

Sounds like that Scott guy is a real ass, doesn’t it?

You’re weird. I’ve already said I want a new coach if we don’t succeed this year. What I have a problem with us you tearing players apart while they’re here then turning around and acting like they’ve been victimized.

I would ask Colby Lewis and Ivankovic what they think about Major, since he gave them scholarships for being on the practice squad.
