ECU Athletics operating in the red

A drop in enrollment of 855 over a two year period should not be causing these massive losses. There has to be something else going on.

Right now we kind of have the opposite problem from an enrollment standpoint. We can’t admit everyone that qualifies because we can’t accommodate it. Our growth has been strategically tempered over the years so as not to place undue stress on the university resources. Hopefully our administrators are already planning for the day our growth levels off or declines.

Not sure that many out of state students are clamoring to go to ECU. Either way, it will be interesting to see where all this finger pointing goes.
