EPIC project

I don’t know how to post a new thread on this board so I will piggyback on this one. I have been involved with all of the major projects on campus for over 13 years. I get involved years before construction. With that said I heard some rather interesting information yesterday from a local PE firm. As of now the most expensive structure on campus is the new student union at 65 million. To put that in context Halton arena was 23 million. I was told “in confidence” the several local firms are putting togeather ideas for a project that has a code name of “EPIC”. and it will be many millions more than the union. I know about these things years in advance. This hit me directly on the blind side. Any thoughts?

yes i read it, i also read the 2.47 MB number that i was downloading, didn’t want to “kill the WAN” as we call it at work, saw the title page of the pdf and could have sworn it was it.

Attached a print screen of page 26 of that pdf which lists the EPIC project at 76 million.

I am thinking that this will be the energy/nuclear engineering building that the state budget approved.

Whew… I opened this thread worried that unc-chapel hill had decided to take over the EPIC Project and make it theirs.
