Yep, saw Pearl Jam three months later in Charlotte. :guitar:

I was at Lollapalooza '92. Told my story about that before. That was an amazing show, though I was one of the only guys I knew just as excited to see Lush open the show up, as I was to see Pearl Jam, the Chili Peppers, or Ministry. Jesus & Mary Chain were great too.

That was a great lineup, which also included Soundgarden (and future drummer of PJ as well).

See that Wilco is going to play at the Amp Ballantyne on May 15. I haven’t been to a concert there yet.

Yep. Have had this one circled for a while.

Grumpy old rockers at it again. Maybe they can get Zak’s dad to join since he never overplayed!

In better times:

Short lived breakup. Gotta feeling Ringo gave Pete a call.

When they did Mixed Up back in 1990 /1991, those remixes were good… Some of them were great. Will be interesting to see how this sounds.

Sad Season 2 GIF by Friends

Starkey is a beast on drums. Saw The Who in Raleigh the last time they were in NC and he was great. The Who played about 31 songs and he did Keith Moon proud.

On a different subject - saw the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band on their farewell tour and they were fantastic. Great musicians and their setlist was kick butt.

Just a gripe by me but Jethro Tull has sold over 60 million albums. Had 11 gold and 5 multi -platinum records and numerous influential songs. They have never received a nod or hint that they should be nominated or join the RHOF. IMHO they definitely should be in it ahead of numerous others who are already there.

No doubt they should be in, imo. However, I’m still scratching my head as to how Jethro Tull beat out Metallica for the first-ever Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance nearly 36 years ago.

I swear that’s the first thing most people think about. Wonder if it has had any impact on them getting into the HOF?

I doubt it has had any impact on keeping them out of the HOF. I mean, they won the Grammy, so that seems like it would be a feather in their cap in regard to getting in the HOF.

In the shuffling madness
Of the locomotive breath
Runs the all-time loser
Headlong to his death
Oh, he feels the piston scraping
Steam breaking on his brow
Old Charlie stole the handle
And the train it won’t stop
Oh no way to slow down
He sees his children jumping off
At the stations one by one
His woman and his best friend
In bed and having fun
Oh, he’s crawling down the corridor
On his hands and knees
Old Charlie stole the handle
And the train it won’t stop going
No way to slow down
Hey
He hears the silence howling
Catches angels as they fall
And the all-time winner
Has got him by the balls
Oh, he picks up Gideons bible
Open at page one
I think God he stole the handle
And the train it won’t stop going
No way to slow down
No way to slow down
