Watching that vid of Flea playing trumpet reminds me of another bassist who was also very proficient with a brass instrument. 
And a number in which John Entwistle is songwritter, lead vocalist, and plays bass, horn, and piano.

So sad. Perry was with the band all the times I saw them in the '90s and '00s. And he was back with them for their 2024 album, which turned out to be one of the very best in the bands legendary run. They are still making amazing music even in their 60s.

Learned that Bamonte was also an avid fly-fisherman. So much so that he served as artistic director of Fly Culture magazine! 
And, of course, that other artistic job!

anyone who loves guitar should give this 1977 New Years celebration at least the first 10 minutes listen to hear what a 20year old super genius superstar superhero Edward Van Halen already sounded like. And the band was so tight! Eruption Guitar solo with blazing finger gymnastics and Hendrix feedback starts about 1hr 2 minutes in. This must be the original British Amp cranked
