I had heard Shamari was coming back for an illness and the family, and I heard he was coming back b/c he had a daughter who was back home in Salisbury. Which is it? I’ve heard that for a fact it is that Williams’ mother is sick, and there has been rumors about this since Spring.

I had only heard of the story about a family member being sick. That’s what it said in most of the news stories. Here’s the ESPN article:

Righhhtt… because college athletes get paid… The issue is based upon him transferring because of his mom’s illness, not because of he just flat out hated Duke (which may be the case), but the argument here is that he is transferring due to his mom’s sickness and if his mom wasn’t sick, he wouldn’t have transferred.
