Freaking Matt Doherty??!!

Let’s see how much ass he kisses tonight in hopes of getting the job IF Lutz leaves…still can’t believe that he’s now announcing. Maybe he’ll talk shit about Chris Collins on the air.

Me and 2k talked to him after the game. You people that have a problem with him… get a grip. Perhaps you’ll realize he coached Gutheridge’s spare parts to the Final Four, and that is his team winning all those games. If you think he was the problem, remember who ran him out… remember who said playing at UNC was like being in jail.

He told us it was a great time tonight, and a great atmosphere in the second half. He said he was glad to be out there. I asked him about Eddie and the NBA draft (since he’s scouting for the NBA) and he said emphatically “Absolutely Eddie can get drafted in the first round.” and said Eddie reminded him of Marquis Daniels from Auburn (mistakenly thinking he is with the Spurs… he’s with the Mavs now).

Very nice guy to us when it was obvious he was ready to leave.

Not that I ever met him, but he always seemed like a good coach at Notre Dame (don’t forget he was successful there) and he did a decent job at UNC, he was just overmatched I think.

Sounds like he’s at least a nice guy…

I payed him credit for his success and Notre Dame only. He said those were “fun times”

Also saw Bernie Bickerstaff & Jeff Capel Sr. scouting the game and Jarvis Lang in the stands.

Note to Jena Janovy - WEAR GREEN ! That unc-chapel hill blue $#@ has to go.

Havent you realized by now that almost everyone on this board hates every analyst until they say something good about the Niners. Thats why everyone loves Bilas and hates someone like Dicky V or in this case Doherty. Just look at threads before Cincy when people were bi***ing about musberger and lavin then worshiped them after the game. Then, Bilas and Lavin get into it, and its back against Lavin. Doherty will have another chance and he will make the most of it and i was at the game so didnt see it but I imagine he did a good job commentating.

surprisingly… I thought Doh did an excellent job commentating the game. Not that he pointed out anything earthshattering, but he definately made some points that the casual fan wouldn’t have realized (going at DWash late in the game when he couldn’t get subbed out for defense, mentioned multiple times noone could stop curt down low and didn’t understand why he was taking jumpers from the top of the key, good commentary braking down memphis/dwash’s many slashes to the baskets, rotation (or lack there of) of interior defense, stopping a fast break, etc.). I would mind hearing him do another of our games.

I thought Doh was awful as an announcer. One minute he was captain obvious, the next providing bogus strategy.

Here’s to hoping he gets the ECU job so I don’t have to listen to him on C-SET.

I agree. We is actually a very spirited colorman. He gave us some good props. I like Steve Martin, too…

“There is absolutely no empty seats in this arena…This place is everything that it’s cracked up to be”.

"Absolutely Eddie can get drafted in the first round." and said Eddie reminded him of Marquis Daniels from Auburn (mistakenly thinking he is with the Spurs... he's with the Mavs now).

If I remember correctly, Daniels went undrafted; however, he had a terrific season with the Mavs last year (if I’m wrong, fixe me).

I think Eddie has a lot of potential in the NBA.

I feel bad for Doherty because how do you coach a team where the school let’s the players pick the coach?

That seems like a pretty good strategy to me. :P

If Doherty was not such a manic -depressive he would be on the sidelines somewhere right now.

What’s wrong with that?

You are correct, Marquis was not drafted and signed as a free agent. I think Eddie will definetely be drafted now.

I saw our Alexander Keule (sp) too.

Why don’t you Doherty lovers see if there is an opening for one of you to become his personal ass wiper. You people are a bunch of tools.

I just want credit where credit is due. Dickie V will never mention us without following up with some ACC team, Digger will just flat out not mention us and would rather set south bend ablaze than float us a compliment. Those are the kind of announcers I hate, can't speak for everyone else.

Some of these people may not wear blue hats, but they are definately peeping out the blue closet door. You'd think one or two of them would like to fire Lutz and hire Doh. (I would hope the players get to vote on the matter) Anyone who can't win at Carolina isn't much of a coach.

EDITED

Buh bye Memphis troll.
