CONCORD, N.C. – Fur is sure to fly Tuesday night at Lowe’s Motor Speedway during round six of the 10-race Summer Shootout Series as several area mascots compete in racing’s version of “The Fast and the Furriest.”

Lug Nut, the World’s Fastest Mascot, will be looking to defend his home turf as the mascots battle in equally prepared go-karts provided by the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Among those scheduled to join Lug Nut in the Mascot Mania Night race are: Sir Purr of the Carolina Panthers; Homer from the Charlotte Knights[URL=http://www.whowon.com/Results.asp?TrackID=932&StoryID=225557#][/URL]; Rufus of the Bob Heels; Chubby from the Charlotte Checkers[URL=http://www.whowon.com/Results.asp?TrackID=932&StoryID=225557#][/URL]; [B][COLOR=SeaGreen]and Norm the Niner, representing the Charlotte 49ers[/COLOR][/B]"

Good find Shagg! I think it’s great that among all of the profesional sports Norm is representing Charlotte! I may have to drive up the road to see it.
