May have been mentioned already, but Google Street View is now available for Charlotte. They did a nice job they hit a lot of the suburban areas as well.

They drove past my apartment complex apparently the day I moved in. My car is to the left, and the moving truck with all my stuff is to the right. Crazy.

This will be cool for the real estate business b/c now you have the chance/ability to see what the neighborhood looks like before you ever get in your car to drive there.
Google Street View is incredible. I think they are going to continue to take away from ESRI’s market share, not on the complicated GIS stuff yet, but on the mainstream quick turn around type products.
When Google Street View first came it was only for 5 cities, San Fran, Miami and NYC are the only 3 I can remember, but there was a webiste that let people come up with the funniest / weirdest things caught on the street view photos. The one I can remember was a guy trying to slickly walk into a adult bookstore.
As someone else mentioned, it is great for real estate, but the addresses are not that accurrate.

I have actually seen one already. A guy was climbing over a fence into the yard of a very nice house. It may not have been a crime, but he looked out of place in a very upscale neighborhood.
