GW Must be stopped

Hi There Niner Fans,
I know I have not been on the board as much as past seasons but work has been crazy. A lot of 6 days weeks and 10 hour days too. Anyhow tonight would be a great time for your losing streak against GW to end. You guys are 0 for GW since you joined the confrence. Granted they last 3 seaeson they went to the NCAA’s and were a pretty good team. This year the Colonials have the 2nd worse non-confrence record and RPI in the A10. They have won 4 of their last 6 and lost very competitive games to Xavier and St Joe’s. The last thing the A10 needs is GW getting hot in Atlantic City and start dragging everyones RPI down. I believe if you guys win tonite GW will be eliminated from the post season. I know some of you guys are bummed about not getting a first round bye, but don’t forget what happened just 2 short years ago when seeds 1-4 failed to germinate (lol) in their opening games. Winning 4 games in 4 days is quite possible. I don’t know who will be cutting down the in A.C. but despite their record and ranking I think it’s a good chance it won’t be Xavier! This league is to unpredictable for anything like that to happen. I hope you guys have a good Senior Night, crush GW and I’ll see you on the boardwalk…

Good post Umass. I have to say that you have no one here that is not eager to take down the Colonials tonight. We want this one. I think every one still has those horrible final moments of the game at GW in 2006 running through their heads.

Are we out of the running for first round bye?? I thought we still had a chance.

Yes, with last night’s games I think our chance for a bye is gone.

But yes, we must beat GW tonight. We have lost to them way too many times recently… It won’t be easy though because they will be fighting for their post season life.

I just want to beat these guys! I still remember the 2003-04 season opener when GW came into Halton and left with a 80-76 win over the Niners. We led 70-65 with just under 4:30 minutes in the game. You don’t have to be a math major to figure out how that ended.

We’ll bury them…:49ers:!
