the difference between this years team and the teams of years past is that we dont need to shoot threes to win. when we look inside and then kick it out we are so much better. weve got athletes, guys who can drive, we need to use them.
Very true! Of course, some would argue that better coaches have teams that execute better.
Whatever, weāve never needed the three to win, in fact weāve killed ourselves with the three ball when we had two all conference forwards that were capable of winning the game all on their own, if they were able to play their positions. Instead we even had our all conference PF swing out to the wing and shoot the three for no good reason.
He allows it, therfore it's on him. He is responsible to manage the game, he did a miserable job the last 6 minutes.
He also allows them the freedoms to be basketball players, which has worked in most games. Are you asking a successful coach to change his philosophy the last six minutes that has worked the preivious 32??? That is stupid and would cause Charlotte to really get blown out. Bobby is a players coach. He allows all players the freedoms to do what they CAN do. The philosophy works, has worked, and will work. Ultimately, it is up to the BALL players to be BALL players.

It works, huh?
How many National Championships, or even Sweet 16s has he taken us to?

I donāt even no where to begin with this post. The coach is responsible for game management; there is nothing you can say to change my mind on that.
As for your comment on the prior 32 minutes? Lee played poorly the first 32 minutes of the Dayton game. Did you watch the Richmond game? 2 Full games is more than enough to understand something isnāt working. Trying to fit a square peg in a round hole is difficult.
I want Bobby to get a new deal, but to state THIS type of style has been proven successful is a huge stretch, we havenāt done squat in March in several years. A return to a more balanced O has been more evident this year, just not always (especially in the Lās)

You know my stance on Bobby and this staff. Heās put Charlotte on the mapā¦enough said. And I would say that a Div. I program that lies in the heart of ACC country(constantly gets and will always get the ACC hand-me-downs) that gets 17-18 wins a year is REALLY successful. So yes, it does work. Just like lastnight in the Duke game. They were hitting 3ās, Carolina was notā¦does that mean Royās stuff doesnt workā¦No it means that Carolina had a rough night shooting. Just like Carolina, Charlotte and Lee will bounce back and weāll all be talking about how great we are once again.
You know my stance on Bobby and this staff. He's put Charlotte on the map...enough said.
Lee Rose say Hi!
Who is Jeff Mullins?

Heck, I would go all the back to Bill Foster, who laid the groundwork for UNCC making not only a smooth and successful transition to Division I but also recruited most of the players on the 1976 NIT and 1977 NCAA teams. Successful enough that some school in the ACC came calling when it needed a new coach!

I dont necessarily mind the freedom to bomb away 3ās but lutz needs to also have enough authority/say-so or whatever to implement a change of pace during the game. He needs to let it be known that the team doesnt need 3ās with 25 on the shot clock, up 11 with under ten minutes to play and the players must accept it and implement that game plan. This to me is a coaching problem, its fundamentals to start working the clock especially in a ābigā road game that could give the team confidence to make a late season push. Lee is strugglingā¦why? everyone talks about the piss poor inbounds plays but we run 2 plays for leeā¦one that gives him a deep corner shot and the other he comes off a screen at the top of the key. We run these plays 10-15 times a game it seems and everyone (opposing teams) knows its coming and if he cant get a shot then its a complete break down.
we need to stop this āwere in the heart of acc country stuff so its amazing that we are on the map.ā we are not competing against the acc we are competing against the a-10. we dont play unc, duke, state or any of the other acc often so how are we in competition with them. people say that we compete with them in the state for recruits. there are plenty of good recruits in the country and they cant all go to the acc. being in the same state as national powers does not inhibit you from becoming one yourself.

Indeed, I have asked several times where we would be better off located than where we are, with no answer yet.
Was a disappointment watching the final minutes of the Dayton game for sure. BUT this team has exceeded my personal expectations for the year and I have confidence they could suprize a lot of folks as we move through the season. They have the potential to end up with a very good year. We have the talent and in spite of a bad game (upon reflection) Lemire Goldwire is the HEART of this team. To go into post season we need to have him feeling 100 percent confident ⦠because he has the tools ⦠We need to stay behind him through the good and the bad games. This is going to be a very interesting rest of the season. Our team is very unique ā¦on a given night they can drop off ā¦but on a given night they can / could beat any team in the nation. Not a bad place to be if we push ahead and look to the future and not the past.
Lee gotta sit out. That crap he shot during the Richmond game where he attempted to draw a foul on the opposition but, instead threw up an air ball. I mean 2 for 16 !!! I am glad he is a senior
