@CarlP @Nineradvocate @ninerfan55 Hunter mentioned 4 players have now been removed from the roster, who are they 4?
Chance Williams, Adam Hopkins IV, and what 2 others?

I checked the online roster, and I don’t see any recent deletions. The ones gone are, as you mention Chance WIlliams and Adam Hopkins IV, plus Taz Williams, who was removed awhile ago. Perhaps changes to the roster will be reflected online tomorrow? In any case, I did notice one recent addition, Austin Herndon, a Freshman DE from Cary. Maybe I will check the roster in the game notes for Louisiana.
Edit - nope, didn’t see any new deletions there, either.
Some interesting tidbits in this one. The OG that we have been waiting on actually played a few snaps in the last game and may start this game. Hunter believes Harrell will start at QB. He and Hannah also seem to think Albin could save his job by beating ECU (even though he doesn’t want to say that). They both think UNT is going to hammer us, though they tried their best not to say it.
It would be great to hire someone who loves Charlotte or knows the area, but not sure who that would be, unless it’s bringing in a former player in a role that could help. I don’t think Will Healy has a shot, but I do agree that if they beat Citadel then that’s a direct indictment on the coaching staff, not the players. You can’t tell me ETSU has better players. If they do, again, that’s on the coaching staff.
Albin not winning any games in year 2 should be enough to move on. No one will be excited about year 3. I think it’s the chicken or the egg, win and you get money, or money and you get wins and Kevin White could bring in someone that can move the needle in both. Landing Wes Miller is the best hire we’ve made in a long time, so my hope is in Kevin White, not Tim Albin, to get this right. Props to the folks who do the pod, btw.
I was really aggravated with Healy at the time he was fired but in hindsight I think he was fired prematurely. Really at no point during his tenure did I feel like we were the worst team in FBS. Not calling for him to return but would like to see more energy back into the program and a younger more adaptable coach.
The most glaring thing with Albin is I don’t see improvement up to this point and you can’t tell me we have less resources than we did with Healy and Biff. That’s another problem. There has been more commitment to this year’s team with money than ever before and look at where we are at. Especially with a coach and staff that’s been on the ground for almost 2 years now.
Speaking of 2 years, Curt Cignetti was hired in 2023 after the season in which IU went 3-9. 2 years later national championship. That might seem like a stretch comp, but you can do some crazy things in 2 years. Anyone want to tell me what Albin has done so far?
